The space
It's a private and cozy private space where you can easily spend a day, week or even a month. A bed to rest, a workstation, a table to eat, kitchen to cook and washer and dryer for laundry. The place has a full kitchen, workstation, a full size bed, and a full bathroom, well equipped for a long or short term stay. You will be setup to explore Merced, Yosemite and/or surrounding area and have a comfortable space to come back and rest. All you need for a long term stay or if your just coming through to visit Yosemite or on your way to North or Southern California.

Guest access
You have access all areas within your Airbnb space and small patio. Access to the washer, dryer, WIFI, and kitchen.

Steps away from the rose garden in Applegate Park, our renovated guest house is centrally located in downtown Merced. This guest house is separate from the main house and is located in the backyard of the property. It is 3 blocks from the Amtrak and YART, and an easy 10-minute walk to Main Street in downtown Merced. A bike path along a creek, playgrounds, and the local zoo are also walking distance. Merced is a wonderful place to visit on a trip to Yosemite and those looking to visit UC Merced.

The space
Guest house located an established neighborhood near downtown Merced. This renovated guest house is located in the backyard of a 1930s Tudor-style home. There are two rooms in the guest house. The first is a kitchenette/dining room, and the second is a bedroom with seating and office area. The bedroom has a queen bed (a twin-sized air mattress is available upon request). There is a full bath off of the kitchenette.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire guest house which is a separate building from the main house. It is located in the backyard of our property. Guests enter from the front yard of the house and pass through the side yard to the backyard. There is a lit path to the guest house with two entrances.

Other things to note
The kitchenette consists of a large sink, toaster oven, mini fridge with dedicated freezer, electric hot plate, microwave, coffee maker and electric kettle.

There is a queen-sized bed, as well as an air mattress available upon request. Additional guests can be considered on a case-by-case basis. There is also a Pack 'N Play available for travelers with infants and small children.

There is a desk with an ergonomic chair and a large HD monitor and a printer available for use. WiFi from the house is also readily accessible. The space provides a perfect working environment and can readily be used as an office.

The wall AC unit in the bedroom doubles as a heater. There is also an electric space heater for added comfort.

Please note that our guest house is a small space suitable for 1-2 guests, and the water heater is small (15 gallons). It provides enough water for ~12 minutes of continuous hot water. Most guests do not experience an issue with having sufficient hot water, but if you take a longer shower or multiple showers back to back you may deplete the hot water. Please allow at least two hours between running the shower if more hot water is needed.

The space
The space: This is a guest unit. The original access to the main house is completely blocked, you will have the entire unit to yourself. No shared space.

The parking: The left side of the driveway ( in front of the main house garage) is reserved for the guest unit, please try to stay within the line so the main house owner can park on the right side. Street parking are free and you can park on any empty parking spaces available.

The noise: This is a guest unit and there is shared walls with the main house which are not sound proof. You will hear people on the other house however the owner in the main house are usually very quiet, except sometimes they cook in the kitchen and have some normal sounds as a family. Please do not book the place if this is an issue for you!

The alarm: All windows in the guest house are alarmed which turn on automatically at 10pm at night and turn off automatically at 7 am in the morning. Please do not open the windows during that time. There is no alarm at the entrance door.

The washer and dryer: The one shows in the listing photos is a washer and dryer combination.

Hot water in the shower: It usually takes a few minutes to get the hot water, please turn the knob all the way to the highest temperature and wait for a while, when the water gets warmer, then adjust it to your comfortable level.

The room temperature: the host will keep the house temperature between 70-75 F degree entire day, please message the host if you need help with it.

Lights in the bedroom 2: There are only lamps in this room, no ceiling lights

DoorDash: If you order doordash, it usually will be delivered to the front of the main house.

Inside there is a bedroom with a queen bed. We have a kitchenette/ living room with a fold down couch(twin). Our spacious bathroom has a deep bathtub/shower combo.

Charming guesthouse in the best location in Merced. Safe and quiet acre home area close to the UC and the lake. Recently renovated this cute vintage inspired cottage has everything you need to relax and cook a great dinner at home. There is a little outdoor seating area to unwind at night and it is very quiet and peaceful. All new appliances and renovation make this little cottage super clean. This is a NO smoking property. There is no smoking on premise. We do not accept local stays.

We are centrally located in California. We are 3 hours to Yosemite. 2 hours to the beach. 2 hours to San Francisco and 1.5/2 to the Sierra Nevada mountains and skiing.
