Completed in March 2020, Freeholders is a unique new property with far-reaching views. Living accommodation is on the first floor and has beautiful oak flooring throughout. The open plan living/dining/kitchen area has a wall of windows overlooking the creek. A large dining table, huge squishy sofa and well-equipped kitchen with a fully controllable Electrickit Aga, make this a comfortable and convivial space. The two bedrooms have kingsized beds and original features. The bedroom at the front of the house has a drop down window allowing guests to lounge in bed and admire the marshes. The first floor bathroom has a bath with shower and downstairs there is an additional shower room. A very special feature of this property is the secluded roof terrace with 360 degree views, furniture for lounging and dining, and a dumbwaiter to bring food and drink from the kitchen. There is a car parking space opposite the house.

Children can play on the rocking horse with you while you cook ! The 4 bedrooms and 4 WC/shower rooms comfortably accommodate 10 guests. The outside seating area and garden is pretty and spacious and has parking for 3 cars. The house is perfectly positioned within the heart of the bustling coastal town of Wells-Next-the-Sea next to the picturesque quay, and numerous pubs, cafes, restaurants and shops. From the spacious bedrooms you can glimpse the sea beyond Holkham and the boats floating in the harbour where the children also fish for crabs. The house was originally built as 2 separate houses for 2 families and it is rumoured as many as 36 people used to live there. A fisherman’s grave stone in the Wells cemetery says he lived in the house in 1695. In the loft some of the old ships beams still have the rope tied round them that was used for the ships rigging 400 years ago. We have named it Bakers House because as recently as 1970 it was a Bakery selling their wares through the kitchen window. We only finished renovating the house in February and are offering introductory pricing for the remainder of the year.

Wells-next-the-Sea is one of the most attractive towns on the North Norfolk Coast. Arisaig, meaning 'the safe place' in Gaelic is well-named. This pleasantly presented house has a welcoming and calming overall feel. A great deal of thought has gone into providing a comfortable and well-equipped haven and base for holidaymakers who, once they find this lovely house, tend to return again and again, which really says it all. Take a leisurely meander on Staithe Street browsing the little shops and cafes that run from top to bottom, and maybe pop into the Arts Centre to see the latest pop-up art exhibition, and book a ticket for a film or theatre show while you are there. Walkers and cyclists will love exploring the coastal path and can stretch their legs a little further and visit nearby Holkham Hall with its beautiful deer park and lake. - "The property was well laid out / modern and clean, it provided everything that three generations of our family and GSD required for a relaxing and enjoyable week. You can park the cars and not move them again until you leave. There are plenty of things to do and places to eat, there are excellent walks to the beach / woods or follow the track past the boat yard towards Holkham. The house is in the best position that we have stayed in Wells, especially for my father due to challenges with walking long distances, he was able to get to the harbour easily, sit at a local café and watch the world go by. A visit to Walsingham is a must to visit the Abbey and and especially our lady of Walsingham. We will certainly be back."
