This property has 2 master suites; each with a bathroom and comprises the entire top floor of a two story duplex in quiet South Oceanside. It is just an 8-minute walk to a small local beach and 2 blocks from many restaurants. Over 70 5-star reviews on VRBO.

The unit has many upgrades including central A/C, 10 foot ceilings, bamboo wood floors, granite countertops, custom wood doors, and well-appointed bathrooms in both master suites. Park your car on one side of a double garage and find 4-beach bikes, 5-beach chairs, 2 boogie boards, umbrellas and a beach cart for your enjoyment. If you have two cars, you can just park alongside the garage door.

The kitchen includes a dishwasher, gas oven, microwave, ice-maker, and all the standard items to prepare a large family meal. It is well stocked with items such as plastic bags, storage containers, tin-foil, dishwasher soap, and hand soap. Your own washer/dryer is located in the unit and laundry soap is provided.

A dedicated outside patio with lounge chairs, and gas barbecue is also provided on the ground floor. Please note that there is one flight of stairs to enter the unit.

All local and standard cable channels are provided and includes recording (DVR) capability on three-LCD TVs, located in the main living area (50 inch) and both master suites. High speed cable modem with wireless internet works throughout the entire unit.

This is the top floor of a duplex, and I try to keep a peaceful environment, so please do not book if your group is on the loud side.

FYI, both fireplaces are not operational due to safty issues with children.

South Oceanside , and just blocks to many restaurants and shops, and you will quickly see why it has a “walk-ability rating” of 74.

FYI, if larger accommodations are required, the downstairs unit in the duplex is also available with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath.

The open-concept floorplan means you are just steps away from the Hideaway’s fully outfitted kitchen where you can prep and cook your favorite recipes with the help of the full-size stainless-steel fridge with icemaker, chef-preferred gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, Cuisinart and Keurig coffeemakers, French Press, toaster, waffle iron, blender, hand mixer, InstaPot, rice cooker, and crockpot. OUTDOOR SPACE
Discover a delightful world of outdoor living on a beautiful, lush, landscaped property that the Hideaway shares with the attached Casa de Kona - Casita (Vrbo # 2084422), which can be rented separately or together as the larger Casa de Kona - Villa (Vrbo # 2084425). Each unit on this property has its own designated private spaces. When you rent the Hideaway, you are renting the Guest House, which has a designated private entrance, outdoor dining table on your own outdoor deck w/ lounging area, patio heater, fire table, BBQ. You will not be sharing your deck, your BBQ, or your fire table. The only shared space is the large grassy area that extends out and away from your deck. Kids ¬– and adults – will exult in this grassy area with plenty of yard games – Pop-a-Shot, Yardzee, Jenga, cornhole, Connect 4. Smokers will appreciate the designated smoking areas with seating.

BEDROOM SPACE:
- Hideaway Bedroom #1 offers a king bed with Hotel Collection luxury bedding, ceiling fan, 45” TCL ROKU smart TV, and the ability to step right out onto the Sun Deck through slider doors.

I was afraid of all the stairs with the boys, but they had so much fun going up and down, with supervision of course lol, and even improved their motor skills with stairs. They're pros now. The home does have one baby gate which the boys know to stay clear. The town home has very thing you need for the beach, to cook and even to do laundry. There were so many great features of the Town home and the online pictures don't do it justice. The view from the roof top is great and the space is so relaxing with the breeze. My favorite feature of all, they provide a pack-n-play. We were so worried our Twin whos Autistic and being able to sleep. We brought his tent from home so if he had any issues sleeping, he could sleep in his safe space where he naps. We didn't even unpack it. He slept in the pack-n-play just like he does in his own crib at home. He felt right at home at the Town home, as did we. We will most definitely be staying here again."

This home is located in a quiet neighborhood and is suitable for quieter groups. Our rental agreement includes a no tolerance policy regarding excessive noise, occupancy and/or parties. Deposit forfeitures and/or evictions are strictly enforced. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting our unit. We are required by the City of Oceanside to enforce the Good Neighbor Policy.

Parking: The driveway is on a first-come, first-served basis with one other unit. It is not very large and typically we suggest only one car at a time park there. It is possible for each unit to park their car on the driveway if both are compact and you park very carefully. You will need to be cautious of low walls on both sides when backing up. Please do not allow your guests to park on driveway behind your car, as it may block the other units pathway for luggage, bikes etc. There is free parking on the street right out front.

You can immediately sit and take in the shaded sitting area surrounded by timber and black bamboo! Carry on to the left and you'll discover the entry into your comfy dwelling. This home is located in a quiet neighborhood and is suitable for quieter groups. Our rental agreement includes a no tolerance policy regarding excessive noise, occupancy and/or parties. Deposit forfeitures and/or evictions are strictly enforced. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting our unit. We are required by the City of Oceanside to enforce the Good Neighbor Policy.

Parking: The driveway is on a first-come, first-served basis with one other unit. It is not very large and typically we suggest only one car at a time park there. It is possible for each unit to park their car on the driveway if both are compact and you park very carefully. You will need to be cautious of low walls on both sides when backing up. Please do not allow your guests to park on driveway behind your car, as it may block the other units pathway for luggage, bikes etc. There is free parking on the street right out front.

PARKING
- This unit has a dedicated parking spot in the rear of the property.
- Additionally, plenty of street parking is available on a first come, first served basis subject to the following restrictions due to street sweeping:
- The East side is no parking between 10am-2pm on 1st and 3rd Monday for street sweeping.
- The West side is no parking between 6am-10am on the 1st and 3rd Monday for street sweeping.

KEYLESS ENTRY
This home is equipped with a smart lock. Upon arrival, guests can easily access the home with a keyless secure door code. Please note, the access code is time-sensitive. As such, it operates the lock only at or after 3:00p time and will not work after 10:00a on your check-out date.

EARLY CHECK-IN AND LATE CHECK-OUT REQUESTS
We have a strict policy that does not allow for early check-ins or late check-outs. We take great pride in the cleanliness and organization of our homes so we need to afford housekeeping enough time to properly prepared for each and every guest!

SECURITY DEPOSIT
We are pleased to have hosted a huge number of respectful and thoughtful guest(s) in the past, however we do have to put this disclaimer out there to protect ourselves against the occasional problematic guest(s). Please be sure to carefully review the House Rules! A $1,000.00 security deposit is required with this reservation and we will process a credit card authorization in that amount prior to your arrival. This authorization is held for 14 days and will expire after your departure only after it is inspected to ensure that the House Rules were strictly followed, all contents of the home are undamaged and in the unit, and there is no damage or additional cleaning that is needed to return the unit or the contents of the unit to the condition that was present prior to your arrival.

This is a perfect location for a fun summer get-away. Sit on the front porch and watch the breathtaking sunset each evening during your stay.

The bedroom has a large walk-in closet and a TV in the bedroom. In the living room is a queen Murphy bed equipped with lights for evening reading. With a large 50-inch TV over the living room mantle, games in the closet, and the sand just a few steps from the front door, there’s something to please everyone. The clean bright kitchen is well-equipped with all the equipment necessary to prepare a wonderful meal. Just a short stroll to the pier or walk to the harbor will bring you even more options for dining. The home has a one-car garage with one additional parking space behind it, a quaint backyard with outdoor seating. Things to Know
The Strand is a vibrant and popular destination. Noise can be very high. Stereos, BBQs, and volleyball games can happen right on your doorstep.

The path along side home is not private. It can be accessed by others. Sometimes people from the beach use it as a shortcut to other homes.

Two sets of full-size washer/dryers with complimentary detergent are provided in the common courtyard for guest use.

PARKING
- This home comes with an on-site dedicated parking spot in the rear of the property.
- Additionally, plenty of street parking is available in the neighborhood on a first come, first served basis. Please note the following restrictions due to street sweeping:
- The East side is no parking between 10am-2pm on 1st and 3rd Monday for street sweeping.
- The West side is no parking between 6am-10am on the 1st and 3rd Monday for street sweeping.

KEYLESS ENTRY
This home is equipped with a smart lock. Upon arrival, guests can easily access the home with a keyless secure door code. Please note, the access code is time-sensitive. As such, it operates the lock only at or after 3:00p time and will not work after 10:00a on your check-out date.

EARLY CHECK-IN AND LATE CHECK-OUT REQUESTS
We have a strict policy that does not allow for early check-ins or late check-outs. We take great pride in the cleanliness and organization of our homes so we need to afford housekeeping enough time to properly prepared for each and every guest!

Parties and Overoccupancy Policy:

EARLY CHECK-IN OR LATE CHECK-OUT
We have a strict policy that does not allow for early check-ins or late check-outs. We take great pride in the cleanliness and organization of our homes so we need to afford housekeeping enough time to properly prepared for each and every guest!

SECURITY DEPOSIT
We are pleased to have hosted a huge number of respectful and thoughtful guest(s) in the past, however we do have to put this disclaimer out there to protect ourselves against the occasional problematic guest(s). Please be sure to carefully review the House Rules! A $1,000.00 security deposit is required with this reservation, and it is a credit card authorization that is processed prior to or during your stay. This authorization is held for 5-14 days and will expire after your departure only after it is inspected to ensure that the House Rules were strictly followed, all contents of the home are undamaged and in the home, and there is no damage or additional cleaning that is needed to return the home or the contents of the home to the condition that was present prior to your arrival.

- "This VRBO was great ! Very new, clean and super organized ( everything labeled 👍 ). Communication with host was great as well … responded quickly and always pleasant. We had a minor hiccup upon arrival but it was quickly handled. We have done several VRBO type rentals and they don’t always go well but this one is a gem. We also loved the neighborhood and proximity to activities, the Marine base and ocean" - "The home was beautiful, very clean and well organized. We really appreciated all of the labels on outlets, switches, drawers, etc. They helped to alleviate any questions we had. We liked the USB ports in the outlets. We loved the home’s modern style and designer touches. It was a great location, within walking distance of many restaurants, bars and breweries. Walmart Neighborhood Market is nearby. It’s about a half mile from the beach. It was also nice to have dedicated parking spots in the alley behind the house. Jessica was a wonderful host and very responsive to all of our questions. The space
Enjoy a quiet, comfortable stay in a detached home at the end of a low-traffic street. The rental includes a private 2nd-floor bedroom and adjacent hallway-accessed bathroom. The room is fully furnished with a twin bed, dresser, and TV. Shared kitchen space includes a refrigerator and cabinet storage. Wi-Fi and washer/dryer access are included.

Guest access
Guests have access to the kitchen with shared refrigerator and cabinet space, as well as the laundry, backyard, and other common areas. Street parking is available out front, and my neighbors are aware of the room rental and kindly avoid using that space.

The community features a solar-heated 20-yard swimming pool, a hot tub, and several beautiful greenbelts for relaxation and outdoor enjoyment.

During your stay
I am the owner of 23 years and live in the home, so I’m available if you need anything during your stay. I’m happy to answer questions or assist when needed, but I also respect your privacy and personal space.

Other things to note
For safety reasons, smoking, candles, and open flames are not allowed. I don’t drink or smoke and ask that you drink sparingly and refrain from becoming inebriated.

My dog, Pebbles, is incredibly important to me, so you must be comfortable around dogs. No worries, she’s the sweetest little girl you’ll ever meet!

EōS Gym, Starbucks and McDonald's is two blocks away. Bus stop just beyond that.

A minimum stay of 31 nights is required per Oceanside STR regulations or I have to register as a STR and pay 10% tax on rental income... and Big Brother is watching and knows if I advertise for a stay for less.
