Working with Austin, our concierge, made it all so effortless. He was fantastic and full of information; he booked our lift tickets and a snowmobiling excursion with Back Country. The hotel is also a short drive into downtown Jackson where we spent our evenings dining and shopping at the local boutiques. We had our 7 yr. old granddaughter in tow so we also incorporated a horse drawn wagon tour of the Elk Refuge and a day at Snow King, riding the Cowboy Coaster, tubing and skiing...the Elk Refuge and Snow King were also a very short drive from the hotel. Also, dining/drinks in the bar at Spur, located on the ground floor of the hotel, was very casual, cozy and convenient. Don’t forget swimsuits for the pool/hot tub! "

Our anniversary was on Saturday and we were wanting to schedule a romantic dinner atop the mountains, however did not go to schedule til Thursday and they were sold out for the day and unable to accommodate, book ahead of time-lesson learned. The Chill Spa couples massage was amazing. Spa facilities were pleasurable and staff accommodating to our specific needs. All in all a fantastic 5 day vacay! "

The house was very clean. The kitchen had extras, like spices and aluminum foil, which was helpful. Two of the twin beds were up a ladder in a loft, so be aware that only kids may be able to get to those. I didn’t dare go all the way up, but looked from the top of the ladder, and there is a tv up there too, so again, kids may love this. I only slept in the king bed that’s on the same level as the kitchen (so I cannot speak to the other beds), but it really needs to be replaced. There is a huge indentation in the mattress on the side closest to the door. Love this location because it is just outside of town and more private. Instructions to get in were easy. Communication between the cleaning crew was lacking. I went through their instructions and received an email saying it was okay for us to check out at noon instead of 10am. However, the cleaning crew showed up at 10:15. We got a call asking why people were still there. The man I talked with was polite and understood this was just a miscommunication, so it was not a big deal for us, but I felt bad the cleaning crew was around, waiting for us to leave because they weren’t informed. This room is comprised of a super comfy double bed and 3 twins, (super luxurious sheets) 2 full dressers. Recliner. Perfect for a family, or small group of explorers. Shared bathroom (2 1/2 total baths available to guests). Indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit.

The space
Room had 1 full and 3 twin beds perfect for a family or group of traveling buddies. 2 dressers, and a recliner. Lots of space to visit around the extra large kitchen island, hang out on the porch or around the fire pit. With room to roam around the great outdoors! (It’s truly heaven to us!). We have one indoor cat (that spends a lot of time outside when the weather is willing) names Phoebe, a standard poodle named Cora, and a new addition Neela (standard poodle puppy) still working on her manners.

We live here but we are pretty quiet folks. Usually pretty busy caring for the livestock but we are always available to answer questions and can make time to visit.

We are a working ranch, there are cattle sounds from time to time, and chickens. October - May, please contact us prior to booking, to confirm accessibility during winter storms. Not so much to our property but the interstate closes on occasion.

---This is an older home -1940s- We are doing some remodeling & landscaping - nothing serious, but painting, replacing doors, door trim, new flower beds, driveway graveling etc., so there probably will be evidence of some type of 'work in progress'.
