- "This house fit our needs perfectly. It was clean, kitchen was updated and well-supplied, deck was super cute with table, chairs, hammock, outdoor games and bicycles. Both full bathrooms were great. 3 1/2 bedrooms worked well, as we had a 13 year old who appreciated his own space on a cot we brought with us. Beds were comfy. I should have brought a fan but forgot, even though I read other reviews that suggested it. When you have a full house with everyone sleeping upstairs and a few snorers, it got a bit stuffy. We opened windows a crack to get some air movement. The location is wonderful! Walked to Lakeside Park and enjoyed pickleball one night. The court lights went off at 11:30 pm, perfect after a Tincaps game that evening. We got some pretty pictures at Lakeside one afternoon. Also walked along beautiful Forest Park Blvd. You won’t be disappointed to rent this awesome home."

Located in the heart of Fort Wayne is a three bedroom townhome suitable for (maximum of) 8 guests. The space is unique in style, where modern meets relaxed, cozy, and comfortable to make you feel at home. It was designed specifically with our guests in mind and we hope that you embrace all the little moments during your stay.

Sleeping arrangements include two king beds, one queen bed, a sleeper sectional sofa in the main living room, a queen size air mattress, and a queen size folding mattress located in the master bedroom closet on the third floor. Each bedroom has its own closet and private en suite full bathroom!!

FIRST FLOOR: A full bedroom is located on the first floor right when you walk in the home with a queen size bed, a closet and a full en-suite bathroom with a corner stand up shower. This room has sliding barn doors and has a large window at street level so there may be some street noise since this is a downtown home but earplugs are provided for anyone who is a light sleeper :)

SECOND FLOOR: This floor is the spot to entertain! A half bathroom and coat closet will be right up the stairs and then you have a great size living room with plenty of seating, an island with two barstools, and a counter height dining table with 6 additional barstools. There is a coffee bar AND a dedicated office space with a comfortable chair if you need to work from home. The kitchen has high end appliances, which includes a gas stove, and all of the kitchen supplies you may need for a comfortable stay especially if you like to cook your own meals. A balcony is located at the north end of the home off of the living room to create a indoor/outdoor vibe with a charcoal grill (The Big Green Egg) that will be available for your use during your stay.

THIRD FLOOR: As soon as you get to the top of the stairs you will find a HE Washer/Dryer located behind the double doors which which is conveniently near the bedrooms for longer stays. On the south end of the home is the master bedroom with a king size bed, a spacious walk in closet, and a en-suite full bathroom w/a walk in shower. Another balcony is located off the master bedroom providing a private outdoor space to enjoy sunrise in the morning or to enjoy a nightcap before going to bed. On the north end of the home is another great size bedroom with a king size bed, a walk in closet and another en-suite full bathroom with a soaking tub/shower combination.

We hope you will enjoy your stay! In this document, we will discuss the house rules required to maintain the property and to ensure a quality stay for all guests.

Some General Rules:

a. Outside of water, please do not eat or drink in the bedrooms

b. Please take care of furnishings. You will have to pay for damages to the furniture that do not constitute normal wear and tear.

c. Please do not rearrange the furniture.

d. In addition to a no smoking policy, there are no illegal substances allowed on the premises. This is a 100% smoke-free property. There is no smoking allowed on the premises.

e. Please respect the 10pm-7am noise curfew.

f. Late Checkouts
Late checkouts must be approved by the management team. If you stay past your 11am checkout time, you will automatically be charged for the next nights' stay at full price. We offer a late checkout option of up 12:30 pm on checkout day for every listing at a $35 rate.

g. Mail/Packages
We do not allow guests to order mail/packages to this address location for privacy reasons. For stays longer than 90 days, this policy can be negotiated with the property manager.

h. Parties/Noise
We enforce a strict no-parties/noise violation policy for all residents. If you throw a party, damage the unit, trash the space or have a gathering with extra guests that are not reported in the initial booking, you are breaking the rules and will be fined $200.

i. Cleaning
Our cleaning fee is based on a courteous guest (i.e. someone who cleans up after themselves, puts dishes in the dishwasher, towels in the washer, leaves the place as they found it, etc...). This is NOT a hotel. If the housekeeping crew discovers an unreasonable mess post-checkout, we will charge an additional fee of $100

j. Upstairs Furnace
Our upstairs furnace is maintained and serviced regularly, but can be noisy when fully operational. Ear plugs are located in the pantry for your convenience and comfort when resting.

k. Guests with allergies and related medical issues and/or sensitivities- cleanliness is one of our top priorities however we are unable to 100% guarantee that the apartment is free of pet dander, cigarette smoke, air fresheners/cleaning product scents, and any other elements that may trigger a medical problem or sensitivity. If you have severe allergies, asthma, or a sensitivity, please let us know prior to making a reservation. Also note that we cannot issue refunds due to the reasons above.

This is a fully-furnished 4 Bedroom, 3 bath home. The common areas and bathrooms are shared spaces between guests

4. Are there any rules related to guests? Unregistered guests, up to 12, are allowed to visit, but any unregistered guest staying overnight will be charged with a $35 unregistered guest fee.

5. Kitchen
Please keep the kitchen clean and tidy for each tenant. Please wash dishes and keep the kitchen counters cleaned between each guest. Please share all kitchen items with each guest. Kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, rice cooker, coffee grinder, pour over coffee maker, regular coffee maker, specialized kitchen knives, tea pot, a limited supply of coffee (light/medium/dark roast), teas (green/chamomile/English), blender, measuring cups, charcuterie board, a full set of pots/pans, a full set of shot glasses, wine glasses, glass tumblers, cooking utensils, cookie sheets, dining plates/bowels, basic cooking spices, cocktail station, and cleaning supplies. Please let management know of any damaged or broken items so they can be replaced.

6. Appliances
The thermostat is located on the wall in the living room. By sliding the temperature gauge up or down, you may adjust the temperature to a comfortable setting. Please turn off the AC when you go out.

7. Garbage
A 13 gallon trash can is located in the kitchen. Trash cans are provided in each bathroom. Please take the trash out when you leave or when the trash is excessive. It can be deposited in the larger regular trash recycling bins provided at the rear of the property

8. Parking
There is street parking available and a single car parking bay located in the rear of the property.

9. Security
For the property entrance electronic lock, located in the front of the property, to enter, enter your 6 digit code and the lock should open. To lock the rear property door, you have 2 options to lock:
a. Once the door is closed, push the lock icon located on the bottom right side of the lock
b. Once the door is closed, enter your 6 digit code and the door will lock.

To unlock your bedroom door:
1. Press the darkened keypad once to light up the digits on the keypad
2. Then, enter your 6 digit code
3. Then, press the # sign and the lock should open. The bedroom elock will automatically lock within one minute of unlock.

10. Security Cameras
There are security cameras located on the exterior front, right side and rear of the property. The will be operational during your stay. There are no cameras located in the interior of the property.

11. A 65" Roku Smart TV is provided in the living room and a second Roku smart TV is located in the second floor bonus room. No streaming services are provided, but you may access your streaming services by logging into your applications on the Roku Smart TVs

From the North:

Take the exit onto I-469 West/US-30 West toward Fort Wayne.
Continue on I-469 West for approximately 4.5 miles.
Take Exit 25A for Maplecrest Road.

Some General Rules:

a. Outside of water, please do not eat or drink in the bedrooms

b. Please take care of furnishings. You will have to pay for damages that exceed the security deposit amount

c. Please do not rearrange the furniture.

d. In addition to a no smoking policy, there are no illegal substances allowed on the premises. This is a 100% smoke-free property. There is no smoking allowed on the premises.

e. Please respect the 10pm-7am noise curfew.

f. Late Checkouts
Late checkouts must be approved by the management team. If you stay past your 11am checkout time, you will automatically be charged for the next nights' stay at full price. We offer all guests a late checkout of 12:30pm at $35 rate.

g. Mail/Packages
We do not allow guests to order mail/packages to this address location for privacy reasons. For stays longer than 90 days, this policy can be negotiated with the property manager.

h. Parties/Noise
We enforce a strict no-parties/noise violation policy for all residents. If you throw a party, damage the unit, trash the space or have a gathering with extra guests that are not reported in the initial booking, you are breaking the rules and will be fined $200.

i. Cleaning
Our cleaning fee is based on a courteous guest (i.e. someone who cleans up after themselves, puts dishes in the dishwasher, towels in the washer, leaves the place as they found it, etc...). This is NOT a hotel. If the housekeeping crew discovers an unreasonable mess post-checkout, we will charge an additional fee of $100.

j. Guests with allergies and related medical issues and/or sensitivities: Cleanliness is one of our top priorities however we are unable to 100% guarantee that the apartment is free of pet dander, cigarette smoke, air fresheners/cleaning product scents, and any other elements that may trigger a medical problem or sensitivity. If you have severe allergies, asthma, or a sensitivity, please let us know prior to making a reservation. Also note that we cannot issue refunds due to the reasons above.

5. Kitchen
Please keep the kitchen clean and tidy for each tenant. Please wash dishes and keep the kitchen counters cleaned between each guest. Please share all kitchen items with each guest. Kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, rice cooker, coffee grinder, pour over coffee maker, regular coffee maker, specialized kitchen knives, tea pot, a limited supply of coffee (light/medium/dark roast), teas (green/chamomile/English), blender, measuring cups, charcuterie board, a full set of pots/pans, a full set of shot glasses, wine glasses, glass tumblers, cooking utensils, cookie sheets, dining plates/bowels, basic cooking spices, cocktail station, and cleaning supplies. Please let management know of any damaged or broken items so they can be replaced.

6. Appliances
The thermostat is located on the wall in the living room. By sliding the temperature gauge up or down, you may adjust the temperature to a comfortable setting. Please turn off the AC when you go out.

7. Garbage
A 13 gallon trash can is located in the kitchen. Trash cans are provided in each bathroom. Please take the trash out when you leave or when the trash is excessive. It can be deposited in the larger regular trash recycling bins provided at the rear of the property

8. Parking
There is a designated private parking pad located in the rear of the property that can hold up to 6 cars. There is also limited street parking available

9. Security
For the property entrance electronic lock, located in the rear of the property, to enter, enter your 6 digit code and the lock should open. To lock the rear property door, you have 2 options to lock:
a. Once the door is closed, push the lock icon located on the bottom right side of the lock
b. Once the door is closed, enter your 6 digit code and the door will lock.

To unlock your bedroom door:
1. Press the darkened keypad once to light up the digits on the keypad
2. Then, enter your 6 digit code
3. Then, press the # sign and the lock should open. The bedroom elock will automatically lock within one minute of unlock.

11. A 65" Smart TV is provided on the property. No streaming services are provided but you may access your streaming services by logging into your applications on the Smart TV

- "We unfortunately had to make an urgent trip to Fort Wayne due to a family emergency and I had to make the arrangements with where to stay. Key factor was location since we were having to go back and forth to Lutheran Hospital and wanted to be in an area that is convenient to other places. This was the property that checked those boxes. The property was clean and well stocked with everything. We love the fact that there was two bedrooms downstairs since my dad was not able to go up and down stairs very easily. My dad who is not a fan of staying anywhere except his house praised the property which is a true testament. Jason is very responsive and very accommodating. My cousin had to extend his stay due to his dad’s condition so Jason was able to work with us on extending the rental which was a huge relief. We had to go back to Fort Wayne the following weekend for a funeral and the other property we booked does not compare to this property. Staying at Jason’s property shows that he cares and puts a lot of thoughts and considerations into his properties for his guest. Thank you Jason!!"

This is a brand new listing on airbnb. I am getting used to this. The first feedback on checkin was 2.

I am treating for bees at the front door; I told the guest to use the garage door which was open. There was some delay. I told him to park on the driveway, he parked on the street, and I helped the guest into the driveway parking lot spot. Please park on the right side of my driveway. If there is no door bell and a knock didn't work, try opening the door at check-in time. This guest changed check-in times. Please be accepting of a delay between our messages.

The next morning on checkout the guest left without any words and texted the garage door was left open.

Berne is a quaint little town in the middle of Amish Country. It is located 5 miles north of the Gene Stratton Porter/Limberlost Historic Site in Geneva, IN and 3.5 miles from the Ceylon Covered Bridge. Fort Wayne, IN is located 30 miles north of us and offers the amenities of small city life; art/history museums, up-scale dining, river boat tours and Three River Festival in July.

The space
The house and your room are furnished with family heirloom antiques. In fact,
the winter quilt used on your bed was made by my mother. She was a quilter who specialized in whole cloth quilts.

In it is a TV, small dorm size refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker for your use.
When you book this room, the other two rooms upstairs will be blocked off so you will have this space by yourself.

I live on this property. My bedroom, bathroom and sitting area are located on the main floor. I do voluntary service for several months of the year, so you may find yourself in the house by yourself if I am gone. If I am gone, my housekeeper will be available to help and answer any questions.
