Our beautiful cottage is a great choice when looking for a place in Kihei! This is a private detached cottage and it features:

- Updated bathroom. The shower and toilet area is quite small. Please consider this if you have mobility issues before booking. To further clarify there is not a lot of space in front of the toilet so your knees may touch the wall while sitting. Also the shower is relatively small with a low shower head. We want our guests to be aware of this before booking.

We are a legal vacation rental with the County of Maui. There are many illegal listings on the island that can cause issues for vacation renters. Our nightly rate includes all taxes that are required to be collected by the state of Hawaii. It is mandatory for us to collect the Hawaii state tax (GE Tax) of 4.16% and the Transient Accommodations Tax (TAT) of 10.25% plus Maui County Tax of 3%. This is included in your nightly rental amount.

Also please note there are a few steps in the home. There is one small step up into the home, one step from the living area to kitchen and two steps up from the bathroom sink to the toilet and shower. The toilet and shower area are a small space. PEST CONTROL AND ROOSTERS: Due to Maui’s rural location you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Please don’t kill them. The HOA schedules regular professional pest control services for pests such as ants, roaches, and rodents however they cannot be completely controlled in this part of the world.

Hawaii is located in a tropical climate, and insects, rodents, and lizards flourish in this environment. If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Our units are meticulously cleaned and inspected. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment.

The park-like setting of the complex boasts 2 pools, a tennis court, pickleball court and community grills. Our condo is a one bedroom, one bathroom unit with a fully outfitted kitchen. A washer/dryer unit is also included. Each unit has a private lanai that faces the interior of the complex, offering views of the expansive lawns, pools, and lush tropical landscape. Hale Kamaole is made for people who enjoy making new acquaintances while on vacation and is known as one of the best resorts to meet your neighbors at. Be sure to catch a sunset across the street at Kamaole Beach Park III - where you may also hear/see locals blowing conch shells. In the mornings, you'll enjoy the beautiful sounds of birds in paradise - as well as a rooster or two.

All appliances in the kitchen as well as beach/pool equipment in the closets are available for you to use. Feel free to use the pool, tennis court and grills located on the resort grounds. The space
This Studio has been remodeled and furnished with modern furniture for your beach getaway. You have a view of the tennis court from the lanai, while enjoying your breakfast or morning coffee. The unit comes with air conditioner to keep you cool after a day at the beach. In the kitchen, you can prepare your home cook meals, or picnic lunch and snacks, while exploring beautiful island of Maui. Rainy day? Enjoy movies from Netflix, complimentary on demand.

The condo complex is across the street from Kalepolepo Beach Park, Kalepolepo Fishpond and Hawaiian Island Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary. You can enjoy the complex pool and hot tub or play tennis at the tennis court. There is also a BBQ grill by the pool to prepare your favorite grill recipes. The condo complex has laundry room with coin/app operated washers and dryers.

Kihei Bay Surf is located in north Kihei, just 10 miles from the airport. Within a short drive, you can drive to grocery stores, restaurants, shopping, golf, and spa. There are many water activities at the beach, such as kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding or just relaxing with a great book, sunbathing, and beachcombing. Maalaea Harbor and Kihei Boat Ramp are a short drive, if you want to go on boat excursion for snorkeling, diving, sportfishing, whale watching tours from December to April, and sunset or dinner cruises. From North Kihei, you have many great options to drive to South Maui to enjoy golf, shops, restaurants, beaches in Kihei, Wailea and Makena, or drive out to the West side and enjoy art galleries, restaurants, and shopping.
