We are a blended family with 5 grown children who adore each other. When we built our place in Roswell we were so fortunate to be able to include a private, upscale carriage house on our property. When our kids were younger they collaborated on a blended family name so we named our carriage house the "McGoldlers Carriage House" to represent the love of our family and the "home away from home" experience we want to share with you when you stay with us!

My husband and I love to travel around the world, and we always take note of all the fine touches others have used to make our stay 5 star. We are delighted to have infused all the "best practices" into our carriage house experience.

Our place is completely private and we have worked hard to have lovely landscaping and comfortable places outside for you to enjoy the many beautiful birds and relaxing view.

The beautifully furnished, squeaky clean carriage house, has two cozy bedrooms with super comfortable mattresses and only the best linens and bedding. You will also find a full bathroom and kitchenette - all with high end finishes. Great amenities include a coffee maker, fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, a desk for working, and of course, snacks and bottled water! Your stay includes private parking on the property for multiple cars. Our property is just a few miles from Georgia 400 and wherever you would like to go in the area.

While our place is completely private and secluded, it's just a 7 minute walk from everything downtown Roswell has to offer - great restaurants, breweries or shops - all just steps away!

This designer decorated home (approx. 1500 sq ft ranch) is the perfect "home away from home" for anyone in town for family gatherings and re-unions, for business, weddings, events, house hunting, etc. It is comfortable and cozy, and bright and airy with lots of natural light. It is perfect for entertaining!
The family room with big screen TV is well appointed with French doors leading to a large deck on one side of the room and a large dining area on the other side. The dining table seats 6 and has large windows looking out to 6 beautiful Bradford pear trees. The happy kitchen is fully equipped and very bright. Off of the kitchen is another living/reading/study area with a nice sized desk and a sleeper sofa. The bedrooms are luxurious with high end linens and spacious closets. The master has a large bright bathroom with a shower/tub combo. The second bathroom also has a shower/tub combo. We have a huge laundry room with a washer and dryer.
We are pet friendly (for a little extra) and have a nice sized fenced back yard that has a second fenced in area on the side of the deck. The deck is large with a table for 6 and lots of seating and an outdoor grill. The dog park is just around the corner. Walk your dog there and then head to one of Canton Street's dog friendly restaurants!

The master bathroom includes a walk-in closet with full length mirror and a large walk-in shower with rain head and sliding glass door. The second bedroom has a queen size bed, study area, walk-in closet and luxurious private bathroom with tub/shower and sliding glass door.

There is ample space for guests to park up to 4 cars behind the townhouse and parking on the street in front of the townhouse is also permitted.

- "Short drive to many Resteraunt and shops can walk to the mill." - "I had two of my interns share an apartment during a week of training and they had a great experience with no worries or concerns. All was great. " - "I am not one who usually writes bad reviews, but I did want to share our experience. Upon arrival at the property after a day of driving with my wife and our 2mo old son, we were greeted by overflowing trash bins and a rough smell next to where you park the cars. We grabbed our bags and headed up into the shared stairwell that leads to the apartment we rented. In the stairwell there were 5-10 bugs (Stink bugs and roaches) crawling on the stairs and walls. Hoping that the apartment would be better we entered in the apartment and while it was clean, the bug problem was the same. We counted about 10 bugs in the first few minutes that were on the walls, windows, ceiling, and crawling in the kitchen. There were also stains on some of the bed sheets, not wanting to risk our infant son in the apartment and frankly not wanting to sleep with the bugs, we got a hotel down the street. When we reached out to the host, they said that in the house rules they mention that they do pest control, but cannot guarantee no bugs in the apartment so we were given no refund. Maybe it was a fluke, and the apartment and location really are great. But if I knew then what I know now about the bugs, I would have avoided this property..."

The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dish towels, glass leftover containers, and anything you need to cook or clean up after a meal. The dining room is comfortable. The downstairs TV viewing is an area I wish I could recreate in my own home. The sofa is beyond comfy, and I miss the 100-inch TV. The back deck has a nice grill and outdoor furniture. You can play music throughout the house. All the rooms have ceiling fans. The master bedroom closet is fantastic, as is the master bath. Michael, the owner, responded immediately to any question we had. His house is immaculate and comfortable. I am glad I found it. Thank you!"

- "The living room furniture was very uncomfortable, but that was the least of it. This apartment looked like it had never been properly cleaned. Clumps of hair on the dining room floor, for instance. The stove looked so greasy and dirty I did not want to use it. There were disheveled personal belongings crammed into drawers and closets everywhere. Also a huge pile of clothing and other personal stuff on the bedroom closet floor, all covered by a sheet, piled so high that I could not reach to hang up or retrieve my clothes without a lot of trouble. I returned home with a painful contact dermatitis rash on my neck which is still not completely gone, I think because of the general uncleanliness of this apartment. Staying there was a huge mistake. The path that leads to the studio door is uneven and slippery when wet. Might be difficult for someone to navigate if not agile. Overall pleasant stay."

Cheerful space with a sunny living room, which includes 55" Roku TV with Netflix/Prime/Apple+, a Sony Playstation 3, strong WIFI for your laptop, and books.

There are two beds available. The bedroom has a comfortable Queen-sized bed. The living room has a futon that is extendable into a Full size bed (with a mattress topper and bedding provided).

The kitchen includes a Coffee station, full size fridge, cooktop, microwave oven, toaster/bake/broil oven, Instant Pot, Nutribullet blender, plates/bowls, utensils, pots and pans--and if you're missing anything, just ask us.

Take advantage of the built-in Aquasana water filter for filling up before you head out for nearby nature hikes, shopping, and other activities.

The gym is in a finished garage space and has a home gym (weights system), free-style hand weights, a treadmill, and a Concept 2 Rower. (The gym is the only *shared* space--as the hosts also use this equipment.)

If you're traveling with bikes or bulky equipment, you can raise the garage door and store them in the gym area.

The private patio looks out over a garden and includes a firepit and propane grill.

WiFi is available and reliable. If you're working remote, you're coverd. A monitor, keyboard, and mouse are also available.

Guest access
You have full access to the entire downstairs suite which includes the 'shared' gym area and a private outdoor patio area.

Other things to note
This quiet location is close to downtown Roswell and within convenient driving distances to Alpharetta, Marietta, Kennesaw, and Atlanta. If you're visiting for the baseball tournaments in the Summer, the East Cobb Baseball Complex is only 20 minutes away.
For traveling nurses/technicians, Northside Hospital Atlanta and St Joseph's Hospital Atlanta are just a 30-minute drive.
Truist Park/The Battery are about 30 minutes away.

Accessibility Needs

If you have minor accessibility needs, this suite has some great features.
1) No stairs are needed to access this suite.
2) You can drive right up to the suite and park next to the entrance.
3) The interior doors are a minimum of 32" wide and there are no interior door thresholds to 'get over.'
4) Toilet and shower areas include grab bars; shower has shower seat.

HOWEVER:
1) Exterior entrance door is standard size (28 3/4" width) and has a 1-inch threshold.
2) Door to gym (garage area) is standard size (28 3/4" width) and also has a 1-inch threshold.
3) Note that Washer/Dryer is a stackable, so Dryer is not at counter level.
