The South Cabin and The Main House (Idyll Reserve | 1 and 2) were built with guests with limited mobility in mind; with a zero entry, step-less ramp from parking to main entrance, and an open, flat floor plan. These cabins may not be suitable for guests who are completely dependant upon wheelchairs - our bathrooms and kitchens are spacious, but do not have modified accessibility features. Please let us know directly if there are any other accommodations we can provide to make your stay more enjoyable.

The South Cabin, bright and bold, with clean lines and a modern aesthetic is the perfect place for an intimate getaway for a creative couple, a small family, or a few friends. The cabin features a large great room with fully equipped kitchen, a large living and dining area and a gas fireplace. A private sauna, hot tub, fire pit , gas grill and a cozy lounge area complete your outdoor paradise.

The GEM is the Outdoor area. The Dry Dock area (patio) and In ground pool provide SOOOO much room to spread out and enjoy the fun and the sun.

The Guest House is a bonus that cannot be overlooked. It provides a separate living space for any couple in your family. Young or Old, some simply like the seclusion and will enjoy being able to turn in early for the night. Very cool and clean, but keep in mind we're offering this unique experience in a Country Setting. Dad will likely want to skim the pool in the morning to keep it crisp and clean during your stay (not necessary, but we do have the same things floating in the air as any other country setting (bugs, leafs, pollen or even an occasional Mayfly).

Please Please Please - follow those pool rules. We want you to have a great stay, but not at the expense of anyone's safety. No Children in pool without adult supervision. Let’s repeat that, children must be supervised at all times while swimming.

We are located less than 1 mile from the PC City limits, a hop, skip and jump from the home!

Our Vacation Villa originated with my parents 35 years ago and has been enjoyed by the whole family every summer when they came to the Huron area from their winter home in Orlando, Florida. My husband, children, my siblings and their children would converge every summer to go to Cedar Point, take the ferry to the Islands and golf on the Sawmill Creek's golf coarse. Welcome to Middle Bass Island! This newly remodeled Villa is great for a family fun get away where you can explore the island(s) or for a couple (or two or three) wanting to get away. Located on St. Hazards Resort, there's a community pool, community hot tub, restaurant & Tiki bar within walking distance. Sleeps 7 in beds or 8 (1 on fold out bed). Beds are comfortable and newer! Full deck area for entertaining or hanging out w/ a fire pit in the yard area. 4 restaurants and Historic Lonz Winery museum with the Island Grind Coffee Shop & State Park are all within walking distance. Brand new flooring throughout Villa, new cabinets, completely remodeled kitchen with custom beautiful Bass Island counter tops. Bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, all new bed linens, comfortable new pillows, Gas Grill, coffee, spices, basic condiments, complimentary 1 Gallon of water (the resort has well water, we would recommend bringing water or buying water at the General Store) and other amenities included. The General Store is a 6 minute walk if you need to purchase anything. The kitchen is fully functional where you could prepare a lot of meals if you prefer to eat in or outside on the spacious deck.

Hazzards resort has laundry facilities, extra shower facilities, extensive indoor/outdoor lounge with scheduled entertainment.

JF. Walleyes Restaurant https://www.jfwalleyes.net and the General Store https://www.facebook.com/mbigeneralstore/ are within walking distance - 5 to 10 minutes. Walleye's has good food and a beautiful atmosphere with a Blue Lagoon where you can cool off, listen to music or just relax by the Blue Lagoon in the sun. JF. Walleyes also has a boutique where you can purchase souvenirs and Middle Bass Island clothing.

JF. Walleye's & Hazards resort both have golf cart rentals. Neither place will accept reservations for golf cart rentals, but they have several golf carts for rent.

There’s a water taxi for trips from Middle Bass to Put-N-Bay. Inter-Island Charters is located next to the Miller Ferry boat. They post their weekly schedule on Facebook.

Miller Ferry Boat is the only Ferry from the mainland (Catawba Is/Port Clinton) that comes to Middle Bass Island. You can bring a vehicle, but you must schedule it ahead of time - at least two weeks before your trip. If you do not want to bring a vehicle, our Villa is within walking distance to all 3 restaurants/stores on the island. It's .82 miles away (20 minute walk) and you can cut through Lonz Winery State Park & walk along the State Marina to save time. If you walk, we would recommend a rolling suitcase and maybe a wagon, depending on how much stuff you bring. Guest Access:
Guests are able to access the home through a keyless entry system. Host and house manager are available via cell. There is an area on the 3rd floor that is not accessible to guests and not pictured in any of our photos, some doors are locked to guest access. Guests have the entire home to themselves. The garage is not accessible to guests.

The Neighborhood:
Our neighbors include deer, red fox, wild turkeys and stray cats (every once in a while). Not a fast paced neighborhood -- you may have to wait a little bit before passing Amish buggies and farm tractors but its worth it.

Beautiful views, tourist attractions, golf and dining (Amish style and otherwise), the world's largest cuckoo clock, flea markets, Warther's Carvings, cheese houses & wineries are just a few (15-25) minutes away. West on state route 39 takes you to Walnut Creek and Berlin, which has many ecclectic shops & restaurants;

For the golfers: 4 golf courses within 15-25 minutes of the home.

We are 20 minutes from the New Towne Mall and 45 minutes from Canton's Belden Village Mall and Pro Football Hall of Fame if you need a city fix.

Getting Around:
There are a few local transportation companies if guests want to visit the local wineries and breweries or have a personalized Amish Country Tour. All of them must be booked well in advance. Ask for a link to our custom google map with suggested stops.

THE LODGE QUIRKS:
-- Cell service can be spotty on your approach; it is best to have printed direction with you as you may lose signal. Once at The Lodge, you can call and text with most carriers, but may have slow/low signal on the lower level.
-- The pool is open May 1 - October 31, if mother nature co-operates.
--4-wheel drive/AWD vehicles highly recommended in the winter as driveway is 1/2 mile long and a little steep; however, there is a back entrance should it be needed. We will notify guests when this would need to be used.
