Edgewater II has been in my family for almost 30 years! We have enjoyed so many wonderful memories there, and now with a complete renovation, it is ready to provide 30 more years of memories. Everything in the home has been recently updated including the kitchen and two baths, one with a walk-in tile shower. The new trex decks await your arrival, complete with three eating areas including a screened-in porch, adirondack chairs and chaises. There are four bedrooms: 2 Queens, 1 with 2 Twins, and 1 with 2 Bunks. There are four flat-screen TVs, 2 DVD players. Beach chairs are provided. There is also a basketball hoop and a park grill with table and seating area.

The cottage is less than a 2 minute walk to the beach!

BEACH ACCESS: The community beach access is the SOUTH ACCESS across the street from the Currituck Club's south entrance. This is on Yaupon Drive. Guests can take the trolley (in season) or drive themselves to the beach. The drive takes about 5 minutes from my driveway. The trolley stop is right outside our front door. Kids love to ride the trolley and the trip through the community will give you a tour of the picturesque environment and coastal homes.

There are several other beach access locations throughout Corolla. All are marked with blue signs along Rt 12. Access locations with parking include:

Our Home;
Seaside Cottage is a 4 bedroom, 3 full bath home located on a small, family friendly street with cul-de-sacs on both ends. The furnishings are coastal style, comfortable, and continuously updated. The home design is an open floorplan with a two story great room. The dining area opens out to outdoor dining and the pool. There is a KING bedroom on the main floor and leads out to the back deck. This is a nice option for those who can't manage stairs or may want some privacy from the rest of the family. A full bath is on the first floor. There are 3 additional bedrooms upstairs; a large, cathedral ceiling primary bedroom with a king size bed, a queen bedroom, and a third bedroom with a double + twin. The queen bedroom and master bedroom share access to a large wrap around sun deck.

Lower back deck features a dining area, seating to enjoy a cocktail, and a rope style swing to relax and read a book. Pool & hot tub with lounge chairs are on the ground level. Trees surrounding our yard provide shade and a wooded view for the lower level.

**Beds are made & bath towel set( 1 towel, 1 hand towel, 1 wash cloth) is provided for 9 guests. **

**Please note that our community HOA does not permit boats, trailers, or RV’s to be parked within the community(including driveways). Please contact us before planning to bring any of these. We do not provide offsite parking but can refer you to options to check out yourself. **

Seaside Cottage is owned by a family with kids and this home is all about kids. The garage is loaded with beach toys, bikes, and a multigame table. *Although the pool table is in the garage photo, it was broken in the late fall and replaced with a ping pong table. There are bins of toys, movies, books, and games for all age levels. Additional amenities include: Cable tv(Disney Channel,HGTV etc..), wifi, smart tv’s, and a gas grill.

We do allow 2 dogs with owner approval and pet fee. ***Due to our homeowner insurance, we can not host animals with previous bite history and can not accept these breeds. Dobermans,Rottweilers,Akitas,American Staffordshire Terrior (Pit Bull), attack dogs, wolf hybrids or any mix thereof. Please message us about your family(including all pets), and ask any questions about the house location/beach access/ amenities, etc.. before sending a booking request with payment. We are happy to answer questions to aid in vacation planning.

Our cottage has a private pool(open early May to mid October) and a hot tub. The pool area offers sunny spots as well as trees for shade. There are two covered decks on the first floor, and one large wrap around upper level sundeck(shared by the master and queen bedroom). The Hammocks community pool is a short walk away. Seaside Cottage is located on a quiet, flat street that has cul-de-sacs at both ends.

The owners, Rick and Melissa, will be happy to help you plan your trip to Corolla. We have vacationed in the area for many years before deciding to purchase our cottage. We can recommend local tips as well as help plan day trips to other areas of the Outer Banks.

Welcome to The Half Shell! We look forward to having you stay with us! This classic Corolla beach cottage offers 3 bedrooms/2bathrooms. The house is located in Ocean Sands (Section L) on a quiet cul-de-sac and is an easy 6-7 minute walk to the wide, flat, beaches of Corolla. The beach has lifeguards from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Avoid the traffic with flexible check-in/check-out days and a 4-night minimum stay during peak season!

Enjoy all that Corolla has to offer during your stay! The Half Shell is located 1 mile south of Monterey Plaza (Food Lion, Lighthouse Bagels, Philly Steak Subs, Agave Roja, Big Buck's Ice Cream, Whalehead Brewery) and Tim Buck II (Seaside Farm Market, La Dolce Vita, Doppio). Harris Teeter and Duck Donuts are located 2 miles south. Historic Corolla and the Currituck Beach Lighthouse are located 4 miles to the north. Corolla's 4x4 beaches are 5 miles to the north. Corolla Greenway bike and pedestrian path is located at the entrance of the neighborhood.

The utility room (including washing machine and dryer) is underneath the house on the ground level. This space is not connected to the main living area of the house and is only accessible from the outside. There is a keypad on the door to the utility room; the code will be provided on check-in.

An outdoor shower is located on the ground level adjacent to the utility room. Enjoy the convenience of the dispenser of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the outdoor shower! There are hooks in the outdoor shower for hanging up towels and clothes. There is a hose behind the outdoor shower for rinsing off your feet and beach gear when you return from the beach! There is also a clothes line for hanging your wet items.

From the ground level/carport area, there are stairs on both the front and back of the house. The front steps lead to a deck overlooking the cul-de-sac and front door which opens to the family room. The rear steps lead to a covered deck with seating (off of the great room) and a screened porch with picnic table (off of the kitchen). Cafe lights are available to plug in on both the covered deck and screened porch.

The first floor features a family room, dining area, breakfast bar, kitchen, bedroom with queen bed, and bathroom with a shower (with doors to the bedroom and family room).

The TV in the family room is equipped with a Roku Smart TV. Roku Smart TV will allow you to view live channels. Guests are able to login to their own account(s) for streaming services (i.e. YouTubeTV, Netflix, etc.).

The kitchen is equipped with standard appliances including a refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher. It is fully-stocked for preparing and eating meals at the house. We have a Bonavita coffee maker and electric burr grinder. We also have a single cup Keurig. Other appliances include a toaster and air fryer. There is a pantry cabinet for storing your groceries.

The second floor is open to the first floor with a family room, two bedrooms, and a bathroom. There is a Roku Smart TV in the second floor family room. There is a Peloton (with 3 lb free weights) for guests to use with the guest's personal login; shoes are not provided. The second floor family room is the perfect place for lounging and opens to the rear deck.

The queen bedroom (on the west side of the house) opens to a private deck off the front of the house and a jack and jill bathroom. The twin bedroom (on the east side of the house) opens to a deck which spans the entire back of the house.

All of the bedrooms have memory foam mattresses. Bed linens will be provided and beds will be made upon your arrival. Bath towels will be provided (1 bath towel per guest, 1 washcloth per guest, and 1 hand towel per bathroom). Please note, beach towels are NOT provided and guests will need to bring their own.

Dogs are welcome with a pet fee!

We partner with a local property manager in Corolla to handle any immediate concerns that might arise during your stay. However, we will be available by text, phone, or email during your stay! - "We just returned from a lovely stay at this home. It is very clean and well-appointed with an updated kitchen and furnishings. The home is well-designed - the master bedroom and bath upstairs and 3 bedrooms and bath downstairs allowed 3 generations of our family to sleep comfortably and still have privacy and some personal space when we wanted. It is very tech-savvy as well - with flat-screen TVs in various rooms and great wi-fi- it kept the teenagers happy and let the grown-ups check in with work as needed. The kitchen was great - super clean with all of the small appliances (coffee-maker, toaster oven, toaster, mixer, etc) and pots and pans we needed to cook Thanksgiving dinner! Hair dryers in each bathroom were a nice surprise, and being within walking distance to groceries and shops was a bonus. The beach and dunes are beautiful here and Will and Lindsay were kind and thoughtful hosts - checking that we arrived safely and had what we needed, and making our family (dog included) feel welcome. We loved it and will definitely visit again. Thank you for a great vacation!"

Nestled with the wild horses this newly constructed cottage is perfect for newlyweds, empty nesters, romantics or small families. Located in Swan Beach, a quiet family friendly neighborhood, directly across the street from the federal wild life preserve and the closest community to the black top, gives quick access to shopping, restaurants and entertainment. We are nearby and able to respond quickly to most requests.

We do treat the house on a regular basis. If you see a dead bug that means our pest control is working. **

You are visiting an environmentally sensitive land. No garbage disposals allowed. Please do not allow grease, oils or solids in the drain. You will be charged appropriately for damages. Likewise, our wells are shallow and water can be sparse at times. Please help conserve. No car washing allowed.

House is accessible by 4WD vehicles only and please air down. Vehicles MUST have a county-issued Beach Parking Permit properly displayed to park on the beach from the last Saturday of April through the first Saturday in October. Beach parking permit available for a $100.00 refundable deposit when pass is returned.

Guest Access: 4WD vehicle is mandatory. After arriving in Corova, you will drive down the beach for 8 miles. There are no businesses in this stretch. Arriving at night is possible, but we would recommend avoiding this. Check the tides as it’s much easier to drive closer to low tide.

Currituck Cottage is a beautifully designed home with all hardwood floors (no carpet), new furniture, and appliances. It is perfectly located on the golf course and close to the beach at the prestigious Currituck Club with a private pool (heated) and spa to relax after a day at the beach. Once you arrive, there is really no need to drive while enjoying your vacation. Walk or take the golf cart to restaurants, ice cream shop, Duck Donuts, and Harris Teeter, to name a few.

- Sheets, bath towels, washcloths, hand towels, and beach towels are provided. Please wash and fold beach towels if you use them.
- Pool heat is an additional $300/week or $50/day for shorter stays.

Guests can use the golf cart, Tiki bar, fitness center, volleyball, shuffleboard, playground, tennis, and pickleball facilities, to name a few. The Currituck Club offers great services for guests, such as Door to Shore and valet.

Trolley - The Currituck Club provides free shuttle services to the beach Memorial Day through Labor Day. There is a trolley stop near or at the cottage. Trolleys run continuously and are a quick option to get to the beach. Trolley service is free.

Door to Shore - Community staff will pick up your beach gear from the cottage and set it up on the beach and break it down at the end of the day and return it to the cottage. Guests will have to call the front desk and reserve this service, for a fee.

Valet - You can bring your beach gear with you and community staff will carry your things for you and set everything up. This service is free and tipping is encouraged.

The beach access has a bath house, snack bar, and golf cart parking.

The Currituck Club has numerous events for residents and guests to enjoy. Guests will be provided with neighborhood activities that occur during their visit.
