You'll love the great proximity to all that Prescott has to offer but still appreciate the privacy of our quiet home.

- "There was only 2 of us and this place was perfect. So close to Whiskey Row you could walk to it in 15 minutes (we drove because we're old and it was cold outside). The house was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The beds were very comfortable, it was nice having 2 bathrooms which were also equipped with plenty of shampoo, soap and toilet paper. It was only 25 degrees in the morning but the house was nice and warm and the electric fireplace was cozy to sit around. The backyard is a nice size and fenced in. Plenty of places to sit and room for the kids to play. I would recommend this house for 2 single people, 2 couples or a small family with children. The owners of this house are very nice and accommodating. When I stay in Prescott again I'll be hoping this place will be available."

It's near shopping yet also convenient (1.6 miles) to the bustling Downtown activities and a great jump-off point for Sedona, Flagstaff, Jerome or the Grand Canyon!
You have the privacy and safety of parking in your own driveway off our Private Lane off the street.

The Serta Master Bed is Queen-size, firm and lofty with allergen-free pillows, pillow covers and Cotton Bedding. There is a Full-size bed in the 2nd bedroom.
Leather Sofas in the Living Room & Two Rocker-Recliners add comfort for TV watching or reading. There is high-speed internet and WiFi.
Gorgeous Countertops are in the Kitchen with new lighting, flooring and new Pine Cabinets filled with bakeware and serving ware.
We provide many amenities but do not resupply when you run out.
We have air conditioning for the times when the cool mountain air isn't enough!
Outside is a lovely patio with a Weber grill.

Birds and Wildlife visit the Casita and the property regularly since we have migrations both north and south. You may see Hummingbirds, Goldfinches, Spotted Towhees, White-breasted Nuthatches, Juniper Bushtit, Ravens, Flickers, Western Tanagers, and lately a Kestrel, when the ravens don't chase it away! We had a Great Horned Owl in the Meadow for nearly 2 months one summer! We've just added an owl box and a bat box to the property! Javelina come through about every other night. They have migrated up from South America and are in the peccary family. We (or our Guests) have also seen Coyotes, deer, raccoons, skunks, lizards and alien-looking bugs!

We are licensed, inspected and compliant with the City. We have fire extinguishers, carbon monoxide detectors, smoke detectors and a first aid kit.
Prescott has a Noise Ordinance from 10pm to 8am. We do not allow parties or events.
Pets are occasionally allowed with permission, a signed Pet Agreement and a Pet Fee.

Please be respectful of neighbors & wildlife so we can continue to grow our business. And remember you are next to the forests! There are critters around & some can be dangerous, like black widows spiders, mountain lions & javelina. In case you didn't know, Javelina look like hairy pigs but are actually in the peccary family & roam in herds. They have 1.5" tusks, poor eyesight but keen noses. They're pretty casual & timid, rooting in the dirt for grubs, but if they're startled, aggravated or protecting their youngsters they can attack. Watch from a distance and make noise so they know you're there. Do not scare or charge them or leave food, pets or children unattended.

I/We (the Guest) agree to these terms:

• Rates are subject to change until reservation is confirmed.
• Additional fees & taxes may apply.
• 100% Refund if cancelled at least 30 days before arrival date.
• Any damage incurred on the property will come out of the damage deposit.
Pets are only allowed with Owner’s permission, signed Pet Agreement and payment of Pet Fee. Evidence of pets will incur additional cleaning and/or damage fees from damage deposit. Guest assumes all responsibility for pet.
• Owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs on the premises. By accepting the reservation all guests (or anyone they invite) are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises.
• Check-in is 4:00 PM. Check-out is 11:00 AM. Owners may be able to accommodate other times depending on bookings.
• Guest must notify Owners immediately upon check-in if anything is wrong or damaged.
• Property is furnished & includes: Television (in cottage), refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster oven, furniture, artwork, bed linens, towels, pots, pans, dishes, glasses & flatware.
• Guest agrees to keep the property & all furnishings in good order.
• People other than those in the Guest party may not stay overnight. Any person visiting on the property is the responsibility of the Guest.
• Guest agrees to no parties or events.
• Guest agrees to City Ordinance: Noise must be kept to a minimum from 10 PM to 8:00 AM.
• Guest must be at least 25 years old to book.
• Parking: Only 1-2 vehicles permitted. Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only.
• No smoking is allowed inside or outside due to wildfires, allergies & second-hand smoke. Evidence of smoking will incur additional cleaning fees.
• The Cottage, Casita, Cabin are equipped with fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors and a first aid kit.
• There is no daily housekeeping. We try to leave a backup supply of TP, paper towels, etcbut we do not resupply when you run out.
• Linens & Bath towels are included. Daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. No items shall be taken from the units. A blanket by the front door may be used outside.
• Guest may not flush anything other than toilet paper & waste down the toilet. If any feminine hygiene products, excessive toilet paper or anything else has been flushed and clog the system Guest may be charged for damages for repairs.
• Use appliances for their intended use.
• Pets are only permitted with prior approval. A Pet Addendum must be signed. A pet fee must be paid. Pet is not allowed on furniture. Pet waste must be put in trash. Additional cleaning fees may be imposed. Guest shall be solely responsible for pet while on property.
• Guest will not frighten, harass or engage the wildlife. Observe from a distance.
• Guest will empty garbage into large garbage & recycling bins (blue) .

It’s in a great neighborhood walking distance to everything you ever would need we will be back" - "I took my husband to Prescott for FD weekend, the grape house is a nice one room house with private entrance and a side patio (it gets super dark at night we were sitting on the patio and a animal ran past me on the back wall touched me I screamed lol jump out of my seat we only sat out there that one time my advice bring a little lantern or light of some sort you wont regret it. Overall it was nice, the parking is for small cars I drive a chevy traverse and it barely fit in the spot and I would back in as backing out is quite scary with the bushes and you cant see what is coming. We would come back here for sure."

The Cottage is located in the historic residential area just 2 and a half short blocks from The Historic Downtown Courthouse Square. There is a tremendous array of activities at The Square and you are literally only a short 3 to 5 minute walk from The Square and the famous Whiskey Row.
Our premier property for rent near The Historic Downtown Square is The Cottage, which has over 1,550 square feet of living space with hardwood floors and travertine tile throughout. The Cottage has two bedrooms, 1.5 baths, large family room, separate dining room, fully stocked kitchen, dining area with window seat and laundry room. The furniture is well appointed, and provides a romantic,cozy, cottage feel as if you were in Carmel or Monterey. In addition, we are dog friendly, so bring the pooch.

The master bedroom has a king sized bed with a large walk-in closet and nicely appointed sitting/reading area. The master has its own television. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed. The Cottage can easily accommodate 5 to 6 people.

The living room has a large Samsung 46 inch flat screen HDTV, HD cable hookup, Blu-Ray DVD that streams Netflix. In addition The Cottage has a high speed WiFi connection. The dining room can accommodate 6 or more for your bountiful Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter dinner!!

The kitchen is fully stocked to the satisfaction of even the most discriminating Chef! The gas stove is nestled within a old brick hood, and guests can watch you prepare meals while seating in the kitchen nook or cozy window seat.

The best is left for last...the intimate secluded patio. One of our recent guests, refers to this patio as The Plaza (see our reviews). Escape through the back door to Paradise, and listen to the birds chirping and relax in the cool shaded patio. Read a book or just meditate.

Sam Hill's Cottage, built in 1934, has the charm of Prescott history with the conveniences of today (NEW CENTRAL AC!!!) . Owned by a descendant of Sam Hill and nestled among granite hills, our cottage is a true Prescott experience. Founded in 1877 The Sam'l Hill Hardware Company was destroyed along with the rest of Whiskey Row on Montezuma Street during the infamous Prescott Fire. By 1903 the rebuilt store soon became the region's largest hardware supplier. "Why in the Sam Hill are you telling me this" you ask? Because we want you to experience Prescott past and present in Sam Hill's Cottage.

As you enter the front door, directly to the left is a cozy private bedroom with a queen bed on an adjustable base. After a long day, it feels amazing to plop down and kick your feet up as you doze off to deeply restorative sleep.

Walking up the single flight of stairs you will be greeted by an open floor-plan loft. To your right, there is a door that leads to a small balcony overlooking an idyllic neighborhood.

In the main space of the loft, there is a queen daybed for your convenience. Whether you use it for seating or sleeping, you will appreciate its utility and comfort. This is not a flimsy pull-out sofa, this is a real queen mattress. Sooo extra! In front of the bed, you will find a comfy couch and stylish accent ottoman to enjoy as well.

Near the back of the open floor space, you have an equipped kitchen and dining area with windows on all sides. The light streaming through the windows and the colorful appliances and supplies makes cooking and eating a fun and bright experience. Sure, eating at Prescott's best restaurants is fun, but sometimes we all need a home-cooked meal made with love, right?

On arrival, you will conveniently pull up to the purple front door of the space on a 2-car circle gravel driveway built just for this unit.

Entry codes will be provided prior to check-in.

You are able to access every part of the space within the purple door unit except for the closet in the main living area, which holds extra supplies.

~~~Other Details to Note~~~
There is a second rental unit on the property. There is no shared space between the units or parking spaces but you may see other guests in their designated parking area or their courtyard.

The home is in a forest. You may see wildlife such as deer, javelina, rabbits, insects, bugs, and other forest animals in the outside areas.

There is 1 small friendly dog on the property, his name is Jaxon. He does not have access to any part of the space associated with your unit, however, there is a window in the downstairs bedroom that looks out to a courtyard where you may see him roam.

The downstairs bedroom is only heated with a portable heater. The main upstairs area uses baseboard heaters and one wall heater. In general all areas of the unit stay very warm during the winter, but there is no central heating system.

All guests are certainly welcome, but there is a set of stairs. Please keep that in mind when booking.

While we don’t offer Cable, the TV is equipped with a Roku to enjoy watching all of your guilty pleasures. So feel free to BYOL (bring your own login) and log in to any service you're subscribed to using the guest access feature of the Roku.

Relax in the hot tub, kick back in the hammocks, and if you are traveling with youngsters they will love playing around in the lush green back yard, sledding down the hilly streets or even better down the driveway of our other home, Magnolia Mountain Cottage, only a couple minute’s drive away and playing with the chickens also at Magnolia Mountain Cottage. If you like fresh eggs be sure to ask and if our feathered ladies are layin’ eggs we will bring you some for your country breakfast in the woods. Watch for the wild deer who prance their family in a line through our back yard almost daily. Enjoy coffee, tea & hot chocolate from our Keurig or drip, utilize our full kitchen for just about any size meal. We are close to just about everything! Enjoy the neighborhood coffee shops, cafes, boutique and antique shopping right down the street. And if you don't feel like driving Uber/Lyft can get you anywhere you want to go. This quiet and secluded stone cottage is set in 3 acres bordering the Prescott National Forest. It is the perfect place to explore both Prescott and the local hiking/Bike and OHV trails. Goldwater Lake is just 2 miles away and is a gorgeous spot for hiking, fishing, kayaking and picnicking. Downtown Prescott is only stunningly beautiful 10 minute drive.

The cottage is an open plan studio apartment. The living area is open with plenty of windows and natural light. A comfy couch with footstools is the perfect spot to relax after a long hike, or a day enjoying Prescott. Pop your feet up, snuggle in front of the fire and you might even catch a beautiful sunset right from the couch. The Queen bed has cotton and linen bedding, and a very comfortable tempur pedic mattress.

The kitchen is open plan, with a small fridge, with an ice box, two ring hot plate, multi-function toaster oven, microwave, K-cup coffee maker, milk frother, tea kettle and all the pots, plans and utensils you will need. A small dinning table completes the kitchen nook.

The bathroom has a walk-in shower, and you will find a hairdryer in the cabinet under the sink. If you find you have forgotten something the are some emergency items there too.

There's a desk if you need to ctach up with some work, plus very fast wifi.

There is step-free access to the cottage from the driveway to the side of the patio, if you prefer not to use the steps at the front of the cottage.

The cottage has it's own private patio, with chairs, table, and propane griddle, perfect for outdoor dining, or cocktail hour. The area just across the driveway from the cottage, on the top of the hill, is available for you use with chairs and a bench, it's a lovely spot to watch the sunset through the tall pines.

We are on a septic tank, so please follow the guidelines in the folder, there are some gentle reminders for you too.

The road to our property is paved, and is usually plowed quickly when it snows. Our driveway is gravel and has some steep areas, and so a 4WD vehicle is needed during snow.

It doesn't snow often, but snow can happen between November and March, and so you may need a 4WD vehicle. It's incredibly beautiful when it snows, and we want you to be able to access the cottage safely.

If you are booking a last minute, and there's no snow, then you don't need a 4WD. If you are booking a long way out, please make sure you have one if your visit in in snow season mentioned above. Feel free to message me about this too.

Please note, the open plan nature of the kitchen and grounds, with an unprotected creek and road, means this listing is not suitable for infants or children, and is in our house rules.

The space
This one bedroom one bath cottage has direct street access to the property so you can come and go with complete privacy. The bedroom sleeps two adults with a comfy queen bed. Additionally a child or third adult can sleep in the living space with a quality memory foam full size twin roll-a-way bed. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination with linens/towels and shampoo/conditioner provided. TVs in the living room and bedroom are provisioned with streaming services from Netflix and YouTube. There are no broadcast stations available. There is a full laundry with washer, dryer and detergent. An iron and ironing board can be found in the laundry room as well. There is an 8 x 12 ft. storage area with pull-up door that you can use to store your bikes or other travel equipment during your stay. Broadband Internet WiFi and hardwired Ethernet ports are provided for the business traveler. The kitchen is equipped with a full set of amenities such as pans, knifes, plates and silverware along with basic kitchen supplies including water, coffee, tea, coco, sugar, butter, etc.

Weather: The cottage is located in a pine tree forest at an elevation of 5800 feet. Average yearly snowfall is approximately 13 inches. Winter snow storms can impact accessibility for vehicles not equipped with four-wheel drive. The streets are paved and maintained by the county and are typically cleared by snowplows within a day. When booking winter stays during storm season please keep up on weather reports or contact us for updates to assure you will have access during your stay.

Cell phones: Cell signal strength is strong with Verizon and should work well both inside and outside the cottage. AT&T, T-mobile and Sprint have weaker signals and may require, upon arrival, switching your phone to "WiFi calling" mode for service. Also for those with services other than Verizon, it is recommended that you save a local copy of the driving directions before departing for the cottage.

The space is a bit of a "morph" between a one bedroom and a studio. Doors separate the kitchen and office area from the bedroom and living area.

Your cottage is the perfect tiny house! Your home is the “mother in law” quarters to a larger house on the property rented by a very nice family, with whom you will share a common parking area. Please be respectful of their privacy. If you need anything I am one block away.

No pets, please. While I realize, by law, Airbnb hosts must provide access for service animals, I prefer to keep my Airbnb 100% hypoallergenic in order to better accommodate guests with allergies. There are many animal friendly Airbnbs in the Prescott area. If you are looking to stay at an Airbnb with a pet and/or service animal, please look elsewhere as a courtesy to myself and other guests with allergies.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful cottage in the tall pines of the Prescott National Forest. Fully equipped eat in kitchen with seating for 6. 2 bedrooms with queen beds and TV's and a queen sofa sleeper. For adventurers, you are only minutes away from endless activities. Goldwater lake and it's many trails are less than a mile south. Head 3 miles north to discover endless shopping, the courthouse square, and historic Whiskey Row. Bucky's Casino is also a short drive away.

The space
We are pleased to share our newly built cottage that sleeps 6 in two bedrooms with queen beds and a queen sleeper sofa in the living area, there is a pack-n-play stowed in a closet for sleeping a little one. All rooms have central air and ceiling fans. The cottage also has one full bath. The television in the front room has DISH TV and the televisions in the bedrooms have streaming TV services (DISH Anywhere, Netflix and Amazon Prime Video) but there is no cable TV in the bedrooms. An iron and ironing board can be found in the laundry room and a hair dryer under the bathroom sink. This is our newly built house and we are still working on improving the property. During your stay you may find us working around the property but we will be sure to stay out of your way. The space
Our Guests say the Outside Lanai and Deck are what they love best! Either under the Arbor and Grapevines with a glass of wine or Under Cover in the Lanai with Your morning coffee and juice, the outdoor spaces are divine. Guests really enjoy watching the Gold Finches and Hummingbirds at all the feeders and occasionally seeing the javelina in the Meadow. There are a few trails within walking distance and the Rodeo is a block away. Grocery shopping (Fry's) or the Saturday Farmers' Market is 3 blocks away!
The Cottage is neat as a pin with Bamboo floors, lots of light, a leather sofa and clean mile-high Prescott air! We renovated the 1940's house to add room, light and views to the garden and Meadow.
The seasonal creek usually runs in winter after the snows melt and in the monsoon season in July, sometimes August. It's fun to explore wet or dry!
We love the wildlife and birds on the property! We get migrations both north and south and have a barn owl nesting box and a bat nesting box! The owls will help keep the gophers from tunneling through the Meadow and the bats will keep the insects and mosquitos down (though that's usually only during monsoon season). We had a Great Horned Owl in the Meadow hang out for a couple months 2 summers ago!
We're harvesting some rain water and trying to plant mostly native vegetation but I've also put in a plum tree, an apricot tree and a pear tree, plus the grapevines!

Your Lanai, Deck and Garden are just for you! You can access the nearly all the 1.25 Acres! Part of the property goes across the Creek. We have several tables, seating, anti-gravity chairs and even a hammock out in the Meadow. Dave's also put in a horseshoe pit and there's cornhole toss. The Laundry Room is for our use for Guests or for long-term Guests, a week or longer. Ask Terry or me to unlock it for you if you need it! We just ask you don't put anything fuzzy or new in the washer, like blankets, quilts, towels or sweaters. Our pipes get clogged with lint.
We also have a 2 bedroom Casita and an authentic 1 bedroom Log Cabin we rent. Ask us to show you if we don't have any guests there! You can visit with other Guests or not. Each home has its own yard, driveway, entrance, porch, patio, deck, patio furniture, grill. Our private lane is off the street so you don't have to park on the street.

If the owner or Prescott Cabin Rentals receives complaints regarding noise, activities or trespassing that disturbs neighbors you may be asked to leave immediately. No outside noise or music after 10 pm.

Dogs are $15 per dog per night plus tax and onetime $10 fee that goes to the housekeeper.

Check-in starts at 4 pm. If you would like to check-in early you must contact me. Early check-ins are granted the night before or the morning of the check-in. Guest access
You’ll enjoy a seamless self-check-in experience using a key lockbox and will have exclusive access to the entire property, except for the garage and small storage closets reserved for supplies. Bedrooms: The two master bedrooms boast king beds, private baths with tub/shower combinations, and large windows overlooking Lynx Creek. All towels are provided for your convenience.

Kitchen/Living Room: The central area features a full kitchen stocked with dishes, pots, and pans. A propane grill is available on the deck for outdoor cooking. The living room is equipped with a large 50” flat screen satellite Tv, and a Queen Murphy Chest bed.

Outdoor Deck: A spacious east-facing private deck with a hot tub provides a relaxing space to enjoy the outdoors.

Venue: Guests have access to the Venue, where they can build a fire, play outdoor games such as badminton, volleyball, croquet, and corn hole. This space is ideal for inviting friends over for evening drinks.

Connectivity and Comfort: The suite includes Wifi, A/c, and heating to ensure a comfortable stay.

Upper Cabin: Note that Liberty & Sunflower Suite is the lower part of Log Cabin at Lynx Creek Farm. While this suite can be rented separately, it can also be combined with the upper cabin.

Note: There is no washer/dryer in this accommodation.

Guests have access to the whole lower cabin and the Venue. However, access to the upper cabin is restricted.

Pets are allowed with a fee of $15 per night per dog, plus tax, and a one-time $10 flat fee. Guests must be considerate, covering beds and furniture if allowing pets to jump up.
Smoking is only allowed outside.
No outside noise or music after 10 pm.
Guests must be honest about the party size, disclose if bringing pets, and be considerate in using the property.
