You'll love the great proximity to all that Prescott has to offer but still appreciate the privacy of our quiet home.

- "There was only 2 of us and this place was perfect. So close to Whiskey Row you could walk to it in 15 minutes (we drove because we're old and it was cold outside). The house was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The beds were very comfortable, it was nice having 2 bathrooms which were also equipped with plenty of shampoo, soap and toilet paper. It was only 25 degrees in the morning but the house was nice and warm and the electric fireplace was cozy to sit around. The backyard is a nice size and fenced in. Plenty of places to sit and room for the kids to play. I would recommend this house for 2 single people, 2 couples or a small family with children. The owners of this house are very nice and accommodating. When I stay in Prescott again I'll be hoping this place will be available."

This 2 bedroom Cottage is completely remodeled and sits on 1.25 acres among Towering Elms & Cottonwoods, a Meadow & Seasonal Creek.
It's near shopping yet also convenient (1.6 miles) to the bustling Downtown activities and a great jump-off point for Sedona, Flagstaff, Jerome or the Grand Canyon!
You have the privacy and safety of parking in your own driveway off our Private Lane off the street.

The Serta Master Bed is Queen-size, firm and lofty with allergen-free pillows, pillow covers and Cotton Bedding. There is a Full-size bed in the 2nd bedroom.
Leather Sofas in the Living Room & Two Rocker-Recliners add comfort for TV watching or reading. There is high-speed internet and WiFi.
Gorgeous Countertops are in the Kitchen with new lighting, flooring and new Pine Cabinets filled with bakeware and serving ware.
We provide many amenities but do not resupply when you run out.
We have air conditioning for the times when the cool mountain air isn't enough!
Outside is a lovely patio with a Weber grill.

Birds and Wildlife visit the Casita and the property regularly since we have migrations both north and south. You may see Hummingbirds, Goldfinches, Spotted Towhees, White-breasted Nuthatches, Juniper Bushtit, Ravens, Flickers, Western Tanagers, and lately a Kestrel, when the ravens don't chase it away! We had a Great Horned Owl in the Meadow for nearly 2 months one summer! We've just added an owl box and a bat box to the property! Javelina come through about every other night. They have migrated up from South America and are in the peccary family. We (or our Guests) have also seen Coyotes, deer, raccoons, skunks, lizards and alien-looking bugs!

We are licensed, inspected and compliant with the City. We have fire extinguishers, carbon monoxide detectors, smoke detectors and a first aid kit.
Prescott has a Noise Ordinance from 10pm to 8am. We do not allow parties or events.
Pets are occasionally allowed with permission, a signed Pet Agreement and a Pet Fee.

Please be respectful of neighbors & wildlife so we can continue to grow our business. And remember you are next to the forests! There are critters around & some can be dangerous, like black widows spiders, mountain lions & javelina. In case you didn't know, Javelina look like hairy pigs but are actually in the peccary family & roam in herds. They have 1.5" tusks, poor eyesight but keen noses. They're pretty casual & timid, rooting in the dirt for grubs, but if they're startled, aggravated or protecting their youngsters they can attack. Watch from a distance and make noise so they know you're there. Do not scare or charge them or leave food, pets or children unattended.

I/We (the Guest) agree to these terms:

• Rates are subject to change until reservation is confirmed.
• Additional fees & taxes may apply.
• 100% Refund if cancelled at least 30 days before arrival date.
• Any damage incurred on the property will come out of the damage deposit.
Pets are only allowed with Owner’s permission, signed Pet Agreement and payment of Pet Fee. Evidence of pets will incur additional cleaning and/or damage fees from damage deposit. Guest assumes all responsibility for pet.
• Owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs on the premises. By accepting the reservation all guests (or anyone they invite) are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises.
• Check-in is 4:00 PM. Check-out is 11:00 AM. Owners may be able to accommodate other times depending on bookings.
• Guest must notify Owners immediately upon check-in if anything is wrong or damaged.
• Property is furnished & includes: Television (in cottage), refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster oven, furniture, artwork, bed linens, towels, pots, pans, dishes, glasses & flatware.
• Guest agrees to keep the property & all furnishings in good order.
• People other than those in the Guest party may not stay overnight. Any person visiting on the property is the responsibility of the Guest.
• Guest agrees to no parties or events.
• Guest agrees to City Ordinance: Noise must be kept to a minimum from 10 PM to 8:00 AM.
• Guest must be at least 25 years old to book.
• Parking: Only 1-2 vehicles permitted. Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only.
• No smoking is allowed inside or outside due to wildfires, allergies & second-hand smoke. Evidence of smoking will incur additional cleaning fees.
• The Cottage, Casita, Cabin are equipped with fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors and a first aid kit.
• There is no daily housekeeping. We try to leave a backup supply of TP, paper towels, etcbut we do not resupply when you run out.
• Linens & Bath towels are included. Daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. No items shall be taken from the units. A blanket by the front door may be used outside.
• Guest may not flush anything other than toilet paper & waste down the toilet. If any feminine hygiene products, excessive toilet paper or anything else has been flushed and clog the system Guest may be charged for damages for repairs.
• Use appliances for their intended use.
• Pets are only permitted with prior approval. A Pet Addendum must be signed. A pet fee must be paid. Pet is not allowed on furniture. Pet waste must be put in trash. Additional cleaning fees may be imposed. Guest shall be solely responsible for pet while on property.
• Guest will not frighten, harass or engage the wildlife. Observe from a distance.
• Guest will empty garbage into large garbage & recycling bins (blue) .

Overall it was nice, the parking is for small cars I drive a chevy traverse and it barely fit in the spot and I would back in as backing out is quite scary with the bushes and you cant see what is coming. We would come back here for sure."

The Cottage is located in the historic residential area just 2 and a half short blocks from The Historic Downtown Courthouse Square. There is a tremendous array of activities at The Square and you are literally only a short 3 to 5 minute walk from The Square and the famous Whiskey Row.
Our premier property for rent near The Historic Downtown Square is The Cottage, which has over 1,550 square feet of living space with hardwood floors and travertine tile throughout. The Cottage has two bedrooms, 1.5 baths, large family room, separate dining room, fully stocked kitchen, dining area with window seat and laundry room. The furniture is well appointed, and provides a romantic,cozy, cottage feel as if you were in Carmel or Monterey. In addition, we are dog friendly, so bring the pooch.

The master bedroom has a king sized bed with a large walk-in closet and nicely appointed sitting/reading area. The master has its own television. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed. The Cottage can easily accommodate 5 to 6 people.

The living room has a large Samsung 46 inch flat screen HDTV, HD cable hookup, Blu-Ray DVD that streams Netflix. In addition The Cottage has a high speed WiFi connection. The dining room can accommodate 6 or more for your bountiful Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter dinner!!

The kitchen is fully stocked to the satisfaction of even the most discriminating Chef! The gas stove is nestled within a old brick hood, and guests can watch you prepare meals while seating in the kitchen nook or cozy window seat.

The best is left for last...the intimate secluded patio. One of our recent guests, refers to this patio as The Plaza (see our reviews). Escape through the back door to Paradise, and listen to the birds chirping and relax in the cool shaded patio. Read a book or just meditate.

Sam Hill's Cottage, built in 1934, has the charm of Prescott history with the conveniences of today (NEW CENTRAL AC!!!) . Owned by a descendant of Sam Hill and nestled among granite hills, our cottage is a true Prescott experience. Founded in 1877 The Sam'l Hill Hardware Company was destroyed along with the rest of Whiskey Row on Montezuma Street during the infamous Prescott Fire. As you enter the front door, directly to the left is a cozy private bedroom with a queen bed on an adjustable base. After a long day, it feels amazing to plop down and kick your feet up as you doze off to deeply restorative sleep.

Walking up the single flight of stairs you will be greeted by an open floor-plan loft. To your right, there is a door that leads to a small balcony overlooking an idyllic neighborhood.

In the main space of the loft, there is a queen daybed for your convenience. Whether you use it for seating or sleeping, you will appreciate its utility and comfort. This is not a flimsy pull-out sofa, this is a real queen mattress. Sooo extra! In front of the bed, you will find a comfy couch and stylish accent ottoman to enjoy as well.

Near the back of the open floor space, you have an equipped kitchen and dining area with windows on all sides. The light streaming through the windows and the colorful appliances and supplies makes cooking and eating a fun and bright experience. Sure, eating at Prescott's best restaurants is fun, but sometimes we all need a home-cooked meal made with love, right?

On arrival, you will conveniently pull up to the purple front door of the space on a 2-car circle gravel driveway built just for this unit.

Entry codes will be provided prior to check-in.

You are able to access every part of the space within the purple door unit except for the closet in the main living area, which holds extra supplies.

~~~Other Details to Note~~~
There is a second rental unit on the property. There is no shared space between the units or parking spaces but you may see other guests in their designated parking area or their courtyard.

The home is in a forest. You may see wildlife such as deer, javelina, rabbits, insects, bugs, and other forest animals in the outside areas.

There is 1 small friendly dog on the property, his name is Jaxon. He does not have access to any part of the space associated with your unit, however, there is a window in the downstairs bedroom that looks out to a courtyard where you may see him roam.

The downstairs bedroom is only heated with a portable heater. The main upstairs area uses baseboard heaters and one wall heater. In general all areas of the unit stay very warm during the winter, but there is no central heating system.

All guests are certainly welcome, but there is a set of stairs. Please keep that in mind when booking.

While we don’t offer Cable, the TV is equipped with a Roku to enjoy watching all of your guilty pleasures. So feel free to BYOL (bring your own login) and log in to any service you're subscribed to using the guest access feature of the Roku.

Relax in the hot tub, kick back in the hammocks, and if you are traveling with youngsters they will love playing around in the lush green back yard, sledding down the hilly streets or even better down the driveway of our other home, Magnolia Mountain Cottage, only a couple minute’s drive away and playing with the chickens also at Magnolia Mountain Cottage. If you like fresh eggs be sure to ask and if our feathered ladies are layin’ eggs we will bring you some for your country breakfast in the woods. Watch for the wild deer who prance their family in a line through our back yard almost daily. Enjoy coffee, tea & hot chocolate from our Keurig or drip, utilize our full kitchen for just about any size meal. We are close to just about everything! Enjoy the neighborhood coffee shops, cafes, boutique and antique shopping right down the street. And if you don't feel like driving Uber/Lyft can get you anywhere you want to go. Please take assurance in that prior to your arrival we sanitized every light switch, every handle, every door knob, every remote control, lamp switches, broom handles, vacuum cleaner handle, water station handles and everything we know you will touch HAS BEEN SANITIZED! And all the while doing this we wear Masks and Gloves.

Upon your arrival you will receive our welcome letter including our advice with where to find our favorite local grocery stores, restaurants, places to picnic and fish, gas stations, ice cream & frozen yogurt, pubs, liquor stores, pizza, yoga, local hot spots and of course where to golf, hike, tour, horseback ride etc… And all of this is within minutes of the cottage!

When vacationing with your furry family member Arizona Cabin Rentals will need to know the age, breed, and weight of your dog(s) THERE IS A PET FEE OF $25/NIGHT ($100 MINIMUM) PER HOUSE TRAINED DOG PLUS $325 REFUNDABLE DAMAGE DEPOSIT THAT CAN BE COLLECTED ONLINE OR THROUGH VRBO.

Please note that we DO NOT have a minimum night requirement, but we do have a minimum rate requirement that depends on when and how many guests will be staying with us. In other words, the rate for 6 people is more than it would be for 2.

The location was perfect and we enjoyed walking around the neighborhood as well as into town for shopping and dinner. Our hosts had a guide to restaurants and activities both emailed in advance and left in the cottage. It definitely helped us with horseback riding reservations and deciding where to eat. The cottage was small and the floors did squeak, but that was part of the charm. One of the bonuses was that it was an older, historical property. I loved the hot and cold water dispenser. The place was spotless and well cared for. We would definitely stay here again."

Prescott has been recognized as one of the Happiest and Healthiest Cities in America, offering scenic beauty, outdoor recreation, and a small-town atmosphere. Renting a vehicle is recommended, with taxi and Uber services readily available.

To ensure accurate pricing, provide your correct party size when booking. If you plan to bring dogs, please inform Wendy in advance, with a nightly fee and a one-time flat fee applicable. Responsible and considerate pet behavior is expected.

Respect the tranquility of the neighborhood, adhering to noise restrictions after 10 pm. The vacation rental is in a neighborhood with permanent residents, and any complaints regarding noise, activities, or trespassing that disturb neighbors may result in immediate action.

Check-in starts at 4 pm, and early check-ins must be arranged in advance. Similarly, late check-outs require prior notification. Smoking is only allowed outside.
