- "I have been to Sedona 4 times and this has been my best stay yet ! Just the drive to this hideaway was a picture in itself. The hosts went above and beyond with extras. I had my privacy and even my own park pass. When I return I will stay here due to location, affordability, cleanliness and overall friendliness. The only reason I wouldn’t recommend is that I wouldn’t want you to take it away from a time that I may book lol !!! But really , book it , it’s perfect !"

Enjoy a piece of history, this stone house was built in the 1930's. One of three that were part of Rimrock Ranch Bar Lazy-R, a "dude ranch" where VIPs and movie stars would stay as they were filming westerns in the Sedona area or relaxing. - "The cabin was very nice on the inside; clean and neat. It comes stocked with all you need to prepare meals for your stay. There are no electronics there, per se, except for the wifi which is what we were looking for. The surrounding area is quiet and dark at night. The animals next to the cabin are all very nice. We were able to visit in their pens and feed them snacks more than a few times. At one point we were able to secure some eggs from the hens to cook inside the cabin. Joe was extremely nice and did a great job of making us feel welcome. He took the time to introduce us to the farm animals and give us a small tour. He also kept in touch with us during our stay to ensure we had what we needed. All in all it was a wonderful experience and we want to take our children up there at a later date."

It was a quick trip to Sedona when we wanted to get out and the wineries, archeological and historical features we could visit were interesting. We allow dogs if they are: well trained and behaved, not allowed on furniture or on the beds, not left alone when you go out, and don’t bark regularly or incessantly. As the owner, you agree to clean up after your dog, and to dispose of the waste in a special trash bin. It’s helpful if your dog is recently groomed and/or doesn’t shed (much). Please ask about your dog ahead of time. There is an additional charge of $10/night.

We allow cats only if they do not scratch or shed. The guest will bring a bed, litter box, and optional scratchng post if necessary, for the cat and there is a $10/night charge.

The space

Located on a hilltop in Rimrock, the cottage has sweeping vistas of the surrounding mountains and Coconino National forest. Rimrock is a very quiet and safe location, far enough away from the busy tourist areas but close enough to northern Arizona's most popular destinations.

The cottage is located at the end of a rectangular building that is divided into three sections-the cottage at one end, our office/apartment in the middle and a single car garage at the other end. We sometimes stay in the apartment when the house is rented.

If we are on the property we like to give a bried tour to our guests, Otherwise there is a lockbox with key access.

The cottage is located about 25' from the main house and guests have complete privacy to come and go as they please. The cottage (consisting of approx. 300 sq/ft), deck and pergola is set up as a studio with kitchenette (convection oven, hot plate, coffee maker, instant hot water kettle, microwave, toaster, utensils, plates and refrigerator. We keep a supply of organic coffees and herbal teas on hand.

Other things to note
Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors but there is a designated smoking area outside. Please bring your own ashtray.

This beautifully renovated home is a part of local history! The Verde Dairy Cottage is almost 100 years old and was once part of a thriving dairy farm that delivered milk to the entire Verde Valley! Located on a quaint and quiet street, it is easily accessible with a private drive and entrance. It features double front doors allowing plenty of natural light and air to truly bring the outdoors in as you enjoy the beautiful and spacious surroundings.

Living Space: A decorative fireplace and superior interior design create the perfect hang out area for some rest and relaxation. This home has air conditioning to keep you comfortable on warm summer days and a flat screen tv with Netflix for a relaxing and entertaining evening in. Wifi is provided for your convenience.

Kitchen: The home has a fully stocked kitchen, complete with an electric oven/stove, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, crock pot, etc. It has plenty of pots and pans, BBQ utensils, and is stocked with your basic spices and oils. In addition, it offers an instant hot faucet at the turn of a switch--perfect to enjoy your favorite warm morning beverage. Coffee and tea are provided for your convenience.

Loft: This stunning part of the home features two areas of sleeping space. The main loft area highlights a plush king bed, dresser and two night stands. It has a gorgeous custom-made wood railing that overlooks the main floor below. The additional loft area has two twin beds, dresser and closet rack--- the perfect space for kids. Curtains provide privacy to separate these two spaces of the home.

Additional sleeping space: Cozy up on the pull out sofa bed, located on the main level of the home. This convenient space can easily transform from entertaining to sleeping and can comfortably accommodate two adults.

Bathroom: This home’s bathroom is located on the main level. Newly renovated, it has a historical and unique feel and functionality. This spacious bathroom features a private bathtub, double spout walk-in shower, and toilet. It also is equipped with a bluetooth speaker to sound-stream music from your device.

*Linens are provided for all sleeping spaces, as well as two bath towels and two washcloths for each guest. Body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are also provided for your convenience.

Front Patio and Yard: Enjoy your favorite beverage on one of two entertaining spaces in the front yard. A tree swing and yard games offers great fun for the kids while the patio creates an inviting place for mid-day entertainment and outdoor dining. At night, warm up by the gas fire pit as you reminisce on the day’s adventures.

Washer/Dryer: The home has a fully functional washer/dryer for your convenience.

The Neighborhood:
Guests have full river access from the property (a short walk from the backyard). Canoes, Kayaks and other water gear can be rented a few blocks from the home and launched at the river’s access point.

**NOTE: Due to the nature of the river area, ALL children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Life vests are required.

Examples would be sandwich bags, spices, games, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, life jackets, and brochures for nearby attractions. The beds and pillows were comfortable. They quickly responded to any questions/concerns. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. The Internet wasn't great. Something to think about would be that the bathroom sink is too high. We had kids with us and I'm a little over 5 feet tall. It was really difficult for the kids to reach the sink, and nearly impossible for me to wash my face. The laundry access is through an outside door, so not the most convenient. It was a bit chilly when we were there, the heat worked well, but there was a big difference between upstairs and downstairs, so we just needed to adjust the setting when we were sleeping. Not really about the place, but we highly suggest getting a burger from Colt Grill in Cottonwood. So delicious!"

This historic stunner is an updated 1915 house, which has been beautifully decorated to make your stay complete! French doors open to a beautiful deck with ample seating and space to enjoy a warm sunrise or afternoon sunset. Exit the front door for a stroll to the lovely Clarkdale Park which hosts live music, parades and other special events.Take a 20-30 minute drive to beautiful Sedona and come back to the quiet streets of Clarkdale. Wine tasting rooms are close by in Old Town or Jerome.

The space
This historic house is full of charm. Originally built in 1915 for the mining days of the preplanned company town of Clarkdale, it has been upgraded in only the right areas. The full kitchen has been completely renovated and includes an elegant bar for additional seating. It has all the amenities plus a few starter items such as coffee and bottled water. The two bedrooms have queen mattresses and windows to let the natural light in. The front bedroom has a gorgeous wall size mirror and a Smart television along with a new bed. The back bedroom has a new queen bed with a Cool Gel memory foam mattress. The inviting living room has a comfortable couch and loveseat to rest after a long day or visiting with family. The couch folds out for additional sleeping room. A full deck with built-in seating and extra chairs offer a beautiful view of Bitter Creek and surrounding hills. Take in the history of the town with the view from the backyard which looks out on the old smelter, railroad tracks and distant views of the red rocks in Sedona. Make yourself comfortable on the front porch as the neighborhood comes alive with the friendliest small town you will experience.
The house is not childproof. There is no satellite TV, however options to log into Netflix or other apps as well as a Blu-Ray player is available. There are two coffee makers, one small single serve and one drip coffee maker. Limited Coffee is provided to get started but the guest may need to buy more for the stay. No parties and no smoking allowed on property.

All house areas are accessible. There is parking for vehicles. Street parking available in front of house too.
Clarkdale is a small town but I advise to lock all cars and the house doors/windows. Don’t leave valuables in your vehicle. Keep in mind most of the neighbors may be retired.

A few basic starter amenities are provided. Examples of this would be toilet paper, three extra rolls are provided in addition to the current roll on the toilet paper holder and not restocked if depleted during the stay.

The shed outback and extreme back yard (that is gated off ) is not accessible at this time.
The house is not childproof.

Other things to note
The Verde Canyon Railroad train tracks are in Bitter Creek, a few miles behind the house. There will be train noise on occasion. Due to the Bitter Creek wilderness there may be wildlife that gets through the fence. Please don’t engage with wildlife.
Please don’t leave food products on the deck or in the backyard patio area.

Peaceful house in a lovely setting with views from your private patio. Fireplace and bathtub. Hiking/biking trails are just short walk away. Minutes from dining, movies, supermarket yet tucked away near the Sugarloaf hiking trail system (which connects to many trails). Separate studio behind house shares some outdoor and BBQ space.

The space
Environmentally friendly, saltillo tile floors, recycling. Kitchen has microwave, blender, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, fully equipped, large fridge, stove and filtered water.
There is 1/2 flight of stairs up to front door, but once in the door, the home is a single level. Cooling is a swamp cooler and an air conditioner in the living room, air conditioning and fans in bedrooms.
There is a small studio Airbnb in the back of the property, with a shared washer/dryer in between the spaces. Both spaces have their own separate patios and may also share some of the multiple outdoor spaces, plenty for everyone, including hammock, swing chair and BBQ.
We do not allow pets and are unable to accomodate service dogs due to my daughters allergies.
We are an eco friendly household. We do not allow animals on the property, encourage preserving lighting, cooling and heat. We offer recycling and use cloth rags and napkins vs. paper towels.

House is private and has private seating out front. Some outdoor seating spaces are shared. Laundry is accessed and shared by house and studio apartment.

This home is in West Sedona, my favorite area in our sweet town. West Sedona is where the movie theaters are as well as shopping, hiking, galleries and so many restaurants.
We have Harkins 6 and the Mary Fisher Sedona International Film Festival theater, all within walking distance where almost every night you can view a conscious movie or documentary. I offer a welcome letter in the house with recommendations.

Relax and recharge at this cozy 2 bedroom (5 beds) 2 bath retreat away from the hustle and bustle. It's just minutes from hiking, shopping and dinning. Enjoy some home cooking with a well stocked kitchen and outdoor grill. Cozy up on the spacious deck around the gas fireplace. Play games on the large table for 6 or enjoy movies in the comfy family room. Turn the master bedroom into 2 separate rooms or enjoy the large room for privacy. There is plenty of parking in the large round about driveway.

Driveway is part gravel and is sloping down to our open front entrance gate. During winter months it can be slippery from snowfall. That doesn't happen very often.

The space
Lapis Lounge is a hip, mid-century modern/Moroccan/Festival inspired, cottage overlooking Mt. Wilson in scenic Oak Creek Canyon. Stellar views abound! Close access to some of Northern Arizona’s top destinations make for the perfect location for your Sedona visit! We’re located just 6 minutes to Slide Rock State Park, 12 minutes to West Fork and 8 minutes to the heart of Uptown Sedona. Lapis Lounge is surrounded by treetops with stunning Red Rock views.

In the evening, cook a romantic dinner in the fully stocked kitchen. Lapis Lounge features high quality cookware, utensils, knives and dishes. Step out onto the patio to enjoy a fire by the fire pit or open a window to hear the babbling sounds of Oak Creek. Night sky and star viewing from your private patio is out of this world!

When you wake up, the extraordinary views of the canyon greet you as you open the curtains for an abundance natural light streaming into your room. For our yogi-inclined guests, we’ve provided yoga mats and blankets for your use. Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea on the rocking chairs as you prepare for your day in Sedona. Every detail of Lapis Lounge has been thoughtfully curated with your comfort and enjoyment in mind. Inside, you’ll find a 40” smart TV, high speed internet, and a desk to work at. The bedroom features a King sized Casper Element mattress as well as several pillow options and plush bedding. The closet is stocked with a hangers, luggage rack and an iron. The full bathroom features a tiled shower, and Avalon Organics bath products for your use. Additionally, we use natural, biodegradable personal and cleaning products throughout the home.

For those traveling with an extra guest, the sofa folds out to a queen sized bed with a full set of linens available in the guest closet.

Guest access
You will be able to access the full house, including a private deck overlooking canyon views. The house includes full private access to a king size bedroom, open concept living room/kitchen and fully equipped bathroom with walk in shower. One private parking space is available for your use. All areas are private to the renter with the exception of an outdoor side courtyard which is shared with our adjacent rental (no shared walls).

Trash/Recycling - Our trash disposal company sorts recycling and trash, so all waste goes into the same bin and is sorted at their facility.

Crystals for sale! - All of the crystals in the home (except for our flagship Lapis Lazuli piece) are for sale! Prices marked on the bottom of each piece. Just reach out to Brian if you'd like to purchase one to take home.

Pullout Sofa Sheets - In the bedroom closet you will find extra sheets, blankets and pillows for the pullout sofa.
