The last-minute change to South Shields (a poor substitute) led to another unfilled commitment (to provide travel to the venue) and instead of leisurely walks to and from the event we were attending caused us three hours of queueing and travel in ultra-congested trains thus turning what should have been an unalloyed pleasure into a most unpleasant experience. I reiterate : our main reason - and willingness to pay the significant sum requested - for choosing your Southwick apartments was their location. At the time of booking, there were several significantly cheaper offers in locations similarly-distant to South Shields for which we could have opted. Towels, pots and pans , could not use them, so old and grungy. Would have been nice to have been able to cook as we were staying there for 8 days. Utensils very sparse. - "The property was ideal for our group. The beds were good and comfortable. Everything we needed was present. Our only criticisms were that the front door was difficult to lock and open and the bathroom window could not be locked. These are very minor observations. Before our arrival someone had removed the cover from the boiler.
