- "We had prepaid. When we arrived to the property we thought we had booked, there was no record of our reservation. The contact phone number on the reservation was not accurate, it was some guy's personal number in Los Angeles. For Hotels/Expedia Help, had to first go through AI Chat, then some unhelpful chat with a guy named "Christian" who disconnected me without my problem being resolved but did give me a "1-800" number to call. The call was awful, had to go through many unrelated menus before finally being asked to start inputing my data which I didn't readily have available and I gave up. Finally, through a stroke of luck, was able to discover our reservation was instead at a timeshare management company at a different location that was incorrectly using the name of a building they didn't own in the Hotels.com listing, and after we drove up there, they tried to charge us again though we had already paid weeks in advance."

- "Shady Hollow deserves an easy 5 star rating. My husband and I stayed with our 5 children aged 1-8, and it was perfect. We all enjoyed the beach, beautiful lake view, swimming, paddle boards, fishing, pedal boat and kayaks, which was included in the cost. The lake was shallow enough for our kids to play safely and there were plenty of toys on the beach for them to use and build sand castles. Our kids loved going to the office to get a treat and talk to Diana, who was so accommodating. We did need to pack towels and kitchen/bath soaps, but that was communicated prior to booking. We were also glad we packed our kids’ blankets and pillows, as there were not many extras in the cabin. If you are looking for a luxurious stay on the lake, this probably isn’t for you. If you’re looking for a safe, clean, family friendly resort that transports you to simpler times, do not hesitate to book your stay at Shady Hollow!"

About The Cabin: Little Elbow is a beautiful two bedroom one bathroom cabin set on the shores of Elbow Lake. It has a very nice private deck that overlooks the water just feet away. The two bedrooms have one queen and two twin beds. It features a full kitchen with separate dining area. The living room is spacious with couches all around, a fireplace and breathtaking views of Elbow Lake. The kitchen comes with a stove, range, dishwasher, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, and all of the dishware, silverware, pots, pans and utensils you'll need to make this your home during your stay. Linens and towels are also provided.

Bring your portable fish house, and we’ll provide the plowed lake access. Quarterdeck guests can arrange to rent a heated fish house upon request. There are also multiple fishing guides in the area to schedule a guided fishing tour.

Bring the kids and leave your cares at home. We understand that vacations mean spending quality time with your family. That’s why Quarterdeck provides fun for every age. Just off our docks, your kids will be thrilled to catch bluegills and sunfish just as quickly as they can cast out. Take advantage of the many trails offered by the nearby Pillsbury State Forest. - "Property had everything we needed. Enough room for four people, two boats. Nice place, kitchen was fully equipped, beds were comfortable. Only downside was internet t.v. was slow and kicking out. Owners were able to move some dates around for us after a miscommunication on our end. They also supplied extension cords for power down to where we parked boats/trailers which was much appreciated. " - "Stay was good. Not the easiest if you're pulling a boat to get in and out. Wouldn't recommend pulling all the way up to the house with the boat in tow. Each cozy cabin has its own unique decor and layout so you can find the right one that fits your vacation needs (This is cabin 3 for booking reference). We also have a cafe/bar on-site for delicious meals and drinks, so you can enjoy more of your vacation to do what you want and spend less of it cooking. If you do prefer to cook, each cabin has a charcoal grill and fully equipped kitchen.

On one hand you have the 2nd largest Minnesotan lake (Mille Lacs) 1 mile drive down the road, and on the other you have a peaceful hidden gem right in your backyard! Staying on a small lake provides great boating conditions, or you can conveniently head down the road to the Big Pond (Mille Lacs) when the weather's permitting. We are also right on ATV/snowmobile trails, a short drive to Northwood Hills Golf Course, Kathio State Park, 10 minutes from Garrison, and a 5 minute drive to Grand Casino Mille Lacs.

A dock space is included with your stay (bring your own boat or rent one at our resort-advanced notice needed). We also have an onsite fish cleaning house for you to clean your fish and grill it up right at your cabin's own outdoor charcoal grill. Kayaks, 2 paddle boats, paddle board, and aluminum row boats are also included - first come first serve.

We updated the interior of Cabin 8 this spring and will be finalizing details in that cabin throughout the summer. As we continue enhancing the property, decor and other items may differ from the photos.

- "My family and I had a blast on the lake! The house was cozy and had all the amenities we needed. Lydia and Brian were very accommodating and were easy to contact. We enjoyed fishing all week and caught a nice variety of fish. Our family took advantage of all the water toys at the resort. We kayaked, row boated, paddle boated, paddle boarded and got to cruise around the lake in a pontoon. Garrison was a short drive away when we needed supplies and we explored the area around Mille Lacs. Each cabin had it's own grill to cook on. We had a nice big table to eat and play cards on. When we were not enjoying the lake we played ping-pong, video games or watched Roku TV. Brian seemed very busy working around the property and accommodating all the guests, but he still took the time to show us some cool spots on the lake and to make sure we had an anchor or whatever we needed for that day's adventure. We made some fantastic family memories at Little Whitefish lake resort, and I hope yours does too."

Enjoy your next vacation or getaway in our lakefront cabin. Bedroom #1 has 1 queen bed. Bedroom #2 has 2 single beds. There's a futon and recliner and oversized chairin the living room. 1 full bathroom with tub shower. Deck, AC, TV, and firepit. Located on the east shore of Leech Lake, you will have private access to the lake for some of the best fishing in the Midwest. You can be as private or social as you wish.
There are endless opportunities for seasonal fun. Watch for the Northern Lights. Fish under the Full Moon. Listen for the Loon's song. Watch the bald eagles fish.

AS THE SUN BEGINS TO FALL TOWARDS THE HORIZON YOU CAN BE SITTING TABLE SIDE IN THIS WONDERFUL CABIN, DRINKING A NICE GLASS OF WINE AND SHARING THE CALM WITH A LOVED ONE. THIS IS DEFINITELY A FAVORITE AMONG COUPLES. A VERY CHARMING, QUAINT TWO BEDROOM CABIN. THE MAIN DOCK IS JUST STEPS FROM THE REAR DOOR. ONE OF THE BEDROOMS OVERLOOKS THE LAKE.
