- "We had family from Nebraska and Illinois meet midway for some quality family time with babies up to grandparents. Great house to accommodate all our needs! We cooked, ate, laughed, played cards a just hung out. Really enjoyed the town of Pella and renting a boat for a day on the lake. One thing, the walk down to the beach area is more challenging than you might expect. Not all of our family members were able to make it down there, so sharing as an FYI."

The Stella Cottage is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage located in the heart of Okoboji. 5 minutes to the public beach, The Emporium, The Green Space, Arnolds Park, and downtown bars and restaurants. Bedroom one has one queen bed, bedroom two has one queen bed and set of twin bunkbeds. The living room has dining table, a large sectional couch, leather chair and tv and a roll away twin bed. The cottage has A/C in all bedrooms. Cozy 3 bed home with a large wrap around deck. Comfortable seating throughout the deck surrounded by ferns. Kitchen with stove and stool seating dining area. The master bedroom has a Full XL bed. The 2nd bedroom is a pass through between the living room and kitchen and includes a double mattress and a single pull out. The 3rd bedroom is a single, but has a pull out trundle bed for an additional person. The living room couch is also very comfortable and able to sleep one. Please be aware this is a smaller cottage as it is only 750 sq ft. Full Bathroom with shower. AC Units in most rooms. 2 compact parking spaces, with guest parking only 3 houses down. WiFi and Smart TV available. The pictures of the lake are 2 blocks from the house. We are dog friendly and have golden retrievers of our own!

The space
We fell in love with this cozy little lake cottage and hope you do as well. It’s designed for families or small groups to enjoy the lake and community we love so much. Yet it’s also the perfect size for a getaway as a couple to relax and unwind. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could need for indoor or outdoor meals, the beds and linens are comfy, there are games for adults and kids, smart tvs, full size air hockey table and old school pac man cocktail table game.
Guest access
You have access to the entire home just not the garage. The yard surrounding the home is very small, if you’re bringing your furry family members along please be courteous of the neighbors and keep them on a leash or right near the home, and of course pick up after them.
Other things to note
This home is tucked behind another house right off the main street. So your lake views are partially obstructed by that home. On the deck you can still see the water really well and a quick walk across the road gives you unbeatable sunsets.

Bicycles and helmets are available upon request for an additional fee. What better way to take advantage of the nearby trails?
Kayaks and stand up paddle boards are also available upon request for an additional fee.

We love your furry family members and welcome dogs but no cats are allowed.

Arnold, as we call him, is a perfect location if you want to be in the center of all the action. We love Arnold because you can park your car and walk. This includes historical Arnolds Amusement Park (.8 miles); Preservation Plaza for live music and Wednesday night family movies (.6 miles), numerous restaurants (.3-.6 miles), beach, (.3-.6 miles) and lake access to both West and East Okoboji (.5 miles). Arnold is located right off of Hwy 71 and is a block from West Lake Okoboji. Our location is perfect for families, couples and groups of friends. The extensive Dickinson County Trail System is literally steps from our front door. If you bring your bike(s), we can provide you access to the locked garage.
Arnold was built in 1940 by Harry Tennet, the owner of the historic Harry's taxidermy and oddity shop, which is now Jensen Real Estate (next door). Please note that with all the historic charm of 1940, also comes the compact living size, block basement and an occasional spiderweb.
Please note that we do not approve of taping or hanging anything from a wall, doorway or window. Previous renters have done this and paint has been damaged. So, we are cautious of approving bachelorette parties and birthday parties. If you plan to hang decorations, you should look for a different rental property for your party.

Feel free to move the fire pit out into the yard or driveway.

Please be sure to check out our shower, there has been mention that it is not big enough but with this being a true Arnolds Park original cottage, we dont have the space to enlarge it.
We are not a pet-friendly property. Our busy location and high guest turnover mean we cannot accommodate the extra cleaning pets require. While we live on the property, this is not attached to our home and is a wonderful and quiet getaway.

Please no parties or gatherings at the home.

The space
The property is a 2 bedroom/1 bath home that can comfortably sleep 6. There is one queen bed, two twin beds, and a queen air mattress for sleeping. A pack and play is available upon request.

There is a washer and dryer in the home. You’ll have a charcoal grill to use if you’d like. The home has a full kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, oven, and coffee maker. Cookware is supplied for your personal use!

The living room and bedrooms have TVs with basic channels. Two of the TVs do have DVD players. We have some games, puzzles, books, and magazines in the home for your enjoyment. We do NOT have WIFI at this time. We are working on getting satellite internet out here, but our options are limited.

We do not allow smoking in the home. We do allow pets but need to be notified beforehand since we have pets on the property as well. We also expect your pet to be potty trained and kenneled if you’re not there. We do have a medium kennel available if you need it.

Please remember you’re staying in our home and not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP.

House is located on a gravel road about a mile outside of Clermont, Iowa. Bike trail is about 200 yards from the house.

Just a mile from Seven Oaks Recreation Area! And they're making snow!!! 5 miles west of Boone just off Highway 30, this cute and cozy space offers upscale privacy on a wooded lot within 30 minutes of Ames and 50 minutes from Des Moines. This is a guest house on the same lot as the owners, so pride of ownership abounds. It was originally built for the owners' parents and is universally accessible including extra wide doors, fully accessible kitchen and roll-in shower.

Other things to note
This unit is pet free. It is your right to bring an ESA or Service Animal. But, please be aware that if you do, you risk the health, and sometimes the lives, of subsequent guests who have life-threatening allergies to animals. We invite you to seek out Pet Friendly accommodations. Thank you for your consideration.

Also - there is wireless internet throughout the unit. Codes are provided in the welcome packet. There is sufficient power to surf and work internet. Streaming may be laborious and not suitable. There is Direct TV on the TV's, but don't count on streaming movies because you won't like it. Sorry!

This garden cottage is a private, cozy, river town retreat, with a fresh-cut flower garden in the backyard. Enjoy the seasonal view of flowers while relaxing on the back patio. Centrally located in LeClaire. We are a short walk from a grocery store and Mexican restaurant. Just down the hill is the heart of LeClaire with shopping, antiques, restaurants, a winery, a distillery, and bars bordering the Mississippi. This is a perfect house for a cozy, relaxing weekend getaway in LeClaire.

We are located in a quiet neighborhood, in a historical river town, that is usually has a weekend festival with lots of dining options, shopping, and live music. It's perfect for anyone who needs a break from the big city or just a quiet getaway for some rest and relaxation. It's a short walk to the river and downtown activities. (Few blocks) Bring your bikes, take walks along the river, tour the Buffalo Bill Museum, eat, drink to your hearts desire! Come experience a small, midwest, river town hospitality!

This newly renovated country cottage is situated on a quiet and peaceful dirt road 300 yards +/- from Rathbun Lake. This rental sleeps 6 people with 2 bedrooms, 1 living room queen pullout and 1 full bath. It has a large, private back yard with openness and trees for family games. There is a deck on the south side (front of home) with gas grill and a large table. Gather together in the evenings around the fire pit to catch up on your days activities. The space
The Hide Away Retreat has a large yard, private in the back with mature trees and open space. The cottage is on a dead end dirt road in the country with a lot of wild life. Guests see a lot of wild life such as deer, turkeys and birds. Cottage is equipped with volleyball/badminton net and rackets, corn hole, heavy duty tree swing, and other various games.

Kids Alert! There is a pond going in that is about 100 yards away along with a field with three horses. For the safety of the kids, please do not allow them into the fenced in area east of the cottage.

Swordfish Suite "South Beach" is an adorable side of a Duplex located in the SURF District of Clear Lake. This unit has great living space! There is a full Kitchen, Laundry room and wonderful living area downstairs. Upstairs has a King Bedroom, Queen Bedroom and nice Bathroom. It is 200 Steps to the infamous SURF BALLROOM and also some restaurants & Bars. Just a short 4 block walk to downtown Clear Lake City Park, City Beach and Main street. There is a cozy backyard with Fire Pit & Grill.

You will have the front yard fire pit along with a private back yard seating area. Please note that the Surf District is undergoing some really exciting changes to the area. They are building a music enrichment center (Summer 2024) and also a boutique hotel across from our duplex (Summer 2025) It is a great project but please note there may be some construction/ detours around this part of town!! This cottage is located on the North shore of Big Spirit Lake. Private dock allows fishing, swimming, electric boat lift. Lakeside patio has retractable awning and gas grill. The cottage includes: 2 bedrooms, one bath w/ shower, living room with a sleeper sofa; a full kitchen with counter and stools, dining table and chairs. Year round cottage with central air. WiFi available and tv in living room. Ample parking. Indoor days offers a closet of games, Wii with video games.

The space
The cottage will be available for our guests in its entirety. This includes the deck, yard and private dock. There is a fire pit and hammock to enjoy as well. The cottage is on one level.

The cottage is located within a shared lakeshore . It is home to many residents; cottage visitors are expected to be respectful of the lifestyle at the lake. Friendly neighborhood with a family atmosphere. Truly a pleasant and peaceful setting.

Other things to note
MiniWakan State Park is next door to McClelland Beach. A boat landing at MiniWakan Park (where no state park sticker is required.) The cottage’s dock is less than five minutes away. There is bike trail access across the state park entrance, large lawn for picnic or yard games and a shelter with public restrooms. Public beach access available when en route to the towns of Spirit Lake and Okoboji. Additionally a fishing pier is down the road for public use.
