Michael was there with warm greetings and explained everything we wanted to know. He was a wonderful host and now our friend. We rented a car to get around and that worked out well for day trips, runs to the store and to and from the airport. We picked up an inexpensive snorkel and mask and walked down to the incredible clear warm sea several times to swim off the rocks. Most of the time we ate fresh fruit, vegetables and cheese by the pool while taking in the view. The beach bars are 10 minutes away and offer two chairs and an umbrella with service for about 15 euros a day. Easy drive into Athens. We ate at the Argentinian restaurant a few times enjoying the grilled lamb and fresh Greek salads. There is little store at the end of the street you can walk to for any necessities. The east canava main bedroom is carved into the rock with a comfortable queen size built-in four poster bed, secluded as a separate living area with its own indoor windows and door, in a fashion typical of traditional santorinian houses. With its inner windows open the bedroom can enjoy sea views while closing the inner windows and door creates a more romantic atmosphere.

The east canava guest bedroom has a double wrought iron bed that gives pillow view to the sea. Both rooms have access to a spacious living room with antique furnitures and a fully equipped kitchen. They share a large cave style bathroom with rainfall shower. There is a table and summer umbrella in the courtyard as well as loungers for sunbathing by the pool.

The Main canava can accommodate up to 4 guests in 2 separate bedrooms and is built between the east and west canavas.

A very spacious dining room, shed with ample natural light welcomes our guests with its large monastery style table which can comfortably sit 12 guests. The kitchen is carved in the rock and designed as a separate area with easy access to the dining hall. Two circular pits in the floor used for treading grapes during wine making have been preserved, covered with glass and are beautifully lit, adding to the special character of this place.

There are two high vaulted ceiling bedrooms in main canava, each with its own en-suite bathroom. One is especially large room carved into the volcanic rock, with a comfortable built-in queen size bed, dressing area with mirror and a large cave style bathroom with bathtub and rainfall shower.

The second bedroom has a comfortable double wrought iron bed, antique furniture, mirror and its own en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower.

A large Suite with high vaulted ceiling bedroom and living room is situated at the upper level.

Villa Loukia is a family home that has been successfully rented for 18 years and is loved by all who visit (see the 90+ 5* reviews). Villa Loukia underwent major refurbishment between 2015-20. The whole villa was re-tiled, luxury bathrooms created and the kitchen was re-modelled with all new appliances.
The master bedroom was extended to create a 'master suite' with a sofa bed at one end for those with young children. There is also ample room for a travel cot too. The new, luxurious bathroom has a bath and separate shower. It has great lighting, courtesy night lights, extraction fan, heated mirror and a shaving mirror.

The 'Blue' Bedroom and bathroom was remodeled so that the twin beds (can be made up as a double) are opposite the amazing view, the floor is the same gorgeous tiles as the master, the bathroom is larger than it used to be and really luxurious with a wet-room style shower, loads of modern lighting, automatic night lights, heated mirror and magnified shaving mirror. All the details you could ever need.

Downstairs is the Orange Bedroom and bathroom was upgraded to the same standard as the other two bedrooms/bathrooms. It has the advantage of having french windows that lead out onto the terrace and pool.

The whole of the living area has also been re-tiled to match the rest of the property and extended with a fantastic 'picture' window that takes in the view across Avlaki to Albania beyond. This gives a wonderful indoor dining area for low season.

Villa Loukia is located in a stunning position, nestled into the quiet olive covered hillside above Kassiopi in the hamlet of Kelia. The views from the villa across the bay of Avalaki and to Albania beyond are truly stunning. The property was new for 2008, when my husband and I bought it. We are English family with many years experience of holidaying in Corfu. Attention has therefore been paid to equipping the villa with all the necessary equipment for a relaxing and happy holiday whilst making sure it remains comfortable and practical for both couples and families alike. Villa Loukia is also equipped with items such as hairdryers and beach towels in order to reduce the need for too much expensive baggage on the flight over. Also for guest convenience every room has a 3 pin English socket as well as the standard 2-pin and USB sockets. No need to bring adapters.

The location is quiet and private - away from other properties - however unlike many villas in NE Corfu, the situation above Kassiopi means that it is possible to walk (1 km - 10-15 mins) to shops/restaurants in the evening, leaving the car at home. The nearest supermarket is just 5 mins walk or 2 mins in the car. The famous village of Kalami and the lovely secluded coves of that area is just a 10-15 mins drive. The pool is large (5m x 10m) and in 2015 we added optional heating which has been loved by guests using the villa in low season.

We do have external security cameras but all are set away from guest areas. They are set on the drive, front entrance and rear of the villa. There are no internal cameras. The cameras are purely for the security of the villa.

In 2018 we set a goal to make Villa Loukia carbon neutral and we are committed to reducing climate change. Carbon offsetting is used to balance out our emissions by helping to pay for emission savings in other parts of the world.

We pledge to offset each year the carbon connected to the use of Villa Loukia as a holiday rental. This includes electricity, car usage by guests and staff, laundry and ALL guest flights. We produce much of our own electricity with the Photovoltaic Panel System (about 60% depending on the weather) on the roof and the Solar Water System. Dionyssos Cave House is a recently renovated and very spacious cave house, partly carved in the volcanic rock face. It is located in Oia, on the cliff peak close to the Venetian castle, where everybody gathers to watch Oia’s famous sunset. Due to its unique location, Dionyssos Cave House offers unobstructed views of the caldera and the volcanoes and is only a 2 minutes walk away from Oia’s main street, where all the restaurants and shops are situated.

Dionyssos Cave House is a two-storey house that offers the ideal comfort and privacy to a party of up to 8 guests. The first level, which is the main part of the house, offers a spacious living room, a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen that also features a Nespresso coffee maker. The two bedrooms are also situated on the first level. Each bedroom offers a double bed and an en suite bathroom. The one bedroom offers two built in couches as well, that can sleep two extra guests. Villa Gaia is a traditional stone built house, recently renovated (2008), located in a quiet area in the village Skouloufia, 18km away from Rethymno. The villa is built in one floor layout. On the exterior of the house, there is a big yard with a 25sqm swimming pool with sunchairs and umbrellas around it , a stone made barbecue and a garden. There is also a large veranda with a dining table covered by a pergola. The house has a spectacular view to the sea and the surrounding area, which the visitor can enjoy from the yard.

- "Our flight landed a very late on Sunday in Chania airport. We got into the car and drove 1.5 hours to the house. Night driving in Greece is special experience but all vent very smooth, GPS was doing great job in leading us, no mistakes. All shops and restaurants were closed due to late timing but luckily for us the owner of the house (Zack) has prepared amazing food and drinks for us to make sure that no one is left hungry in his house. The house and the owner (Zack) gave very positive impression, actually the house looks much better compared to the pictures. There are 3 sleeping rooms which are all equipped with the air conditioners. Living room is big enough and its combined with the kitchen which is also equipped with the aircon unit. Kitchen has all you need including dishwasher. It’s very easy to adapt to the house from inside and outside. Outside area is nicer and bigger compared to the pictures. In the beautiful village of Atsipopoulo a few kilometres from Rethymno centre, you will meet the traditional guest house 'Villa Myrtia', which is a 150 sq metres villa with a private swimming pool and can host up to 8 persons.

The owners have respected the traditional architecture of Crete and have used indigenous materials such as stone and wood. However, they have constructed a very comfortable house, as it is the most important point of holidays.

Villa Myrtia is one of the two-twins villas that locate at the center of village Atsipopoulo, which can meet all your first needs. - "We booked villa Myrtia after having stayed in other villa's for the 5 previous summer holidays on Crete. The bar was set high because we rated our stay at the other villa's already with very good to excellent. Villa Myrtia ended up as being our favorite one so far. The 5 star rating is so well-deserved. First of all it was to convenient and easy to communicate with the owner (George) before we arrived. The information and service provided was spot on and pleasant. The villa itself was clean, spacious and felt warm. The pool area was amazing and we spent many, many hours relaxing there. Also the location of the villa is very convenient. Lot's of coffee bars are only a short distance away, as well as the supermarket and some restaurants. (We can really recommend the pizzeria) Also Rethymno is just a 15 min drive. The service (regular cleaning of the house and pool) provided by George and his family was just excellent. His mom and sister prepared an amazing and tasteful breakfast for us and the mother of George also made 2 delicious desserts for us. The villa premises was also base camp for a ginger cat and her 4 ginger kittens. Being the animal/cat lovers we are we took good care of them and we hope future guests will do the same. We are really impressed how well George, his mom and sister manage the 3 villa's they own. We well definitively be back."

A public transport bus stop is a 2-minute walk from the Villa, with a destination downtown, where you can hop on a bus to explore the whole island.

Villa Meliti is a modern 185 m2 villa with an outdoor space of 600 m2, featuring a barbecue by the lawn and a 50 m2 swimming pool. The Villa is part of a 4000 m2 private green plot full of trees, including olive trees, orange trees, and lemon trees, which you are free and invited to explore anytime. Depending on the time of the year, you might even get to taste some seasonal fruits.

The living room is located on the ground floor and has a 42'' LCD satellite TV, home cinema, Netflix subscription, and Roku streaming player.

Bedrooms
Villa Orlaya offers three bedrooms in total. Two king-size ensuite bedrooms are upstairs, each with private balconies and outdoor seating, offering expansive views of the Ionian coastline, including the nearby bays of Kalami, Koulora, and Agni.

▪ The master suite boasts a king-size sleigh bed, a full-length mirror, an ottoman, bedside tables, and ample storage with full length, built-in wardrobes and a further chest of drawers with overhead mirror. The wardrobe provides a bolted, digital safe to take care of valuables. There is an AC unit as well as a gentle overhead fan for those guests not wishing to use air conditioning. The modern ensuite bathroom has a spacious shower, loo and sink with garden views from the window. The bedroom has French doors and a walk-out private balcony with outdoor seating.

▪ The second bedroom has a king-size bed with a Tempur mattress, bedside tables, a padded ottoman, a full-length mirror and a built-in wardrobe with a separate dressing table with mirror; the ensuite features a generous walk-in shower, loo and sink, with a window framing the mesmerizing sea views. There is an AC unit as well as a gentle overhead fan for those guests not wishing to use air conditioning. The bedroom has French doors and a walk-out private balcony with outdoor seating.

▪ A third bedroom, located on the ground floor off the sitting room, is perfect for children or those who prefer not to climb stairs. This twin room is furnished with two single beds, a chest of drawers, a tallboy and a small bedside locker, with French door out to the pool terrace. There is air conditioning.

There is a third bathroom located off the kitchen/diner which has a full walk-in shower, loo and vanity sink. Whilst being the allocated bathroom for the downstairs bedroom, it also acts as the daytime loo or guest loo. We provide a baby bath and seat which may be placed in any of the 3 showers to bathe little ones in. There is also a travel cot and stair gate provided.

All bedrooms have French doors with breathtaking ocean views and are equipped with curtains and full, external blackout shutters, ensuring a restful night’s sleep whenever you desire.
All three bedrooms are also air-conditioned, and an additional AC unit in the kitchen/dining area ensures a pleasant climate throughout the villa.
Every single window and all French doors in the property, including the front door, have been fitted with mosquito nets.

The Infinity Pool
Outside, the villa offers a stunning heated, infinity pool surrounded by six comfortable sun loungers with padded cushions, perfect for relaxing under the sun. The pool’s gentle slope makes it ideal for little ones or anyone who prefers a more gradual entry. The depth of the pool is 1.8m at the deep end, and 0.85 in the shallow end.
The pool’s unique shape mimics the curves of the surrounding coastline, offering a truly spectacular vantage point for incredible views over the Ionian Sea. Villa Servicing
For your comfort and convenience, the villa will be meticulously cleaned twice a week by our dedicated housekeeper, Nertilla, typically on Saturdays and Tuesdays. Fresh bed linen is provided and changed weekly, ensuring a clean and inviting atmosphere throughout your stay.
We also provide a generous supply of towels: one hand towel, one bath sheet, and one beach towel per guest. Towels are replaced twice a week, so you can always enjoy a fresh towel after a relaxing dip in the pool or a day at the beach.
Our villa manager, Armando, will clean the pool for you during your stay at a time and day agreed by you. Surrounding Area

Choosing either through a quiet road or a beautiful path the village of Mesaria is a 15 minute walk. The several blue and white chapels with the bell towers and the traditional white homes shine like precious gems in the splendid sunlight making it an ideal place for a stroll and taking pictures. Archontiko Argyros is one of the must-sees. It is a beautiful museum with neoclassical architect where one can explore the life of the Santorini’s rich families, usually land owners of the wineries, back in the 19th century. Fira, being only 5 minutes drive away, occupies the centre of the ultimate Santorinian lifestyle with its breathtaking caldera, restaurants, coffee and souvenir shops, fashion stores, clubs and art galleries. The walk back to the villa was up a steep hill but fine for us and a good way to walk off dinner, however those less mobile would probably struggle, but there were plenty of taxis should you need them. - "Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Menia's cave. Harry and Elizabth were prompt in all correspondence and making sure we were well informed. Check in was smooth and the porter helped us with the luggage. We unfortunately had 4 bags so had to help with 2 of the bags which was understandable and doable (we have strapping 20-year-old boys) but something folks should be aware off if they have more luggage and may need more than one porter. The house is midway on the main Oia market stretch and probably halfway down the stairs which makes the location ideal. Very central. Lots of good restaurants close by. Sunset view just around the corner- though not from the house itself. Views from the porch of the caldera were spectacular. The house is cozy- 2 small bedrooms and a living room and kitchen. The second bedroom was too small for our two 20-year-olds so one used the bedroom and one the couch. But easily manageable. Only one bathroom (and we were aware of it) so that can be a challenge for some. Well equipped kitchen for making breakfast and tea/coffee. Elizabeth- the property manager was available on WhatApp and sent us things to do/places to visit/restaurants to try- and made bookings when we asked. Always available to help- not pushy-no commissions etc. Pure help! Parking in Oia is a bit of a challenge and we had some challenges here since we had a rental car and had to drive around a bit to find a place in some of the dusty/sandy parking lot.
