The location is situated in a lovely, quiet, green suburb of the Alpine town of Thones, small enough to be charming and with splendid views, but with all conveniences within a couple of minutes drive - unlike staying in many resorts. Built 1954, on a plane grounds of easy access, the chalet "Les Lupins" has been totally renoved in September 2010. The shower with multiple body jets felt like pure luxury at the end of a cold winter’s day. The location of the chalet was perfect - nestled away in the quiet area of Les Tines, right next to the river and forest and near the golf course. What better way to wake up in the morning to the view of the mountains and having breakfast on the sunbathed veranda. Bus and trains stops are 2 minutes walk from the chalet and offer very good connections to all major ski lifts in the valley and Chamonix town. It was the perfect combination of staying in quiet, undisturbed and natural surroundings, yet being able to enjoy the vibe of Chamonix centre as well as having access to all other areas of the Chamonix valley. All in all a perfect holiday in a lovely chalet in a beautiful spot of the world. "

The bus situation is good but stops running at 11 and we were out ND overlooked the time. There are very few cars if any to rent and Uber/Lyft are non existent as are taxis. We were lucky to have our bar tender get a friend to drive us back. ($$$) You may not need the car all the time but it is a must for me. The Hill to the bus station is a haul but it's really not to bad once you get the hang of it. The residence is really awesome but the shower I super small and the handle is in the wrong spot. - "I booked the cabin months before our trip and Yves was always very easy to communicate with. Even having to make changes to our booking, he was very understanding and helpful. The location, even though not in Chamonix itself, was terrific. Only 10mins away from the hustle and bustle of Chamonix by car, or great bus service (with a ski pass). The cabin itself is cosy, but enough room for two adults and a 12 and 15 year old. The kitchen is equipped with everything required. Laundry facilities were also great to have for an extended stay. The downstairs area was great for kids with table tennis set, and the extra (heated) room for skis and ski gear was awesome. Would definitely recommend."

Situated at the base of Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Europe, Chamonix is a popular resort in the French Alps. Renowned for its world-class skiing and snowboarding, Chamonix also offers a range of other winter sports and activities, including cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice climbing, sledging and ice skating.

This property has excellent access to the mountains and is conveniently located a 9-minute walk from the Telecabine De Planpraz where guests can take the lift to Plan Praz at 2000m and then the cable car to Le Brévent at 2,525m. For access to the summit close to Mont Blanc, the Aiguille du Midi cable car station is a 6-minute drive away.

In the summer guests can enjoy hiking trails through the incredible mountain scenery, rock climbing, mountaineering, paragliding, white water rafting, a large outdoor pool and tennis. For even more excitement, visitors can head to the Accro Adventure Park (a 6-minute drive) where you can climb and zip-line through high trees. For those looking for something more relaxing, the QC Terme Spa (a 6-minute drive) might be a better option.

The space
The cottage can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people with its 3 bedrooms with king size bed (1 bedroom can be easily converted into two single beds). 2 additional people can sleep in the sofa bed of the living room.

The interior harmoniously mimics the traditional charm of a Savoyard chalet and modernity. The kitchen is fully equipped, while the living room, with its beautiful fireplace and billiards table, offers a perfect setting to relax after a day on ski slopes or hiking trails.

The large 40 m2 terrace has exceptional views of Lake Geneva with magnificent sunsets. A charcoal barbecue is available for beautiful evenings for families or evenings for families or with friends.

Cleaning is done in full before and after your arrival, bed linen is provided as well as bath towels.

Children are welcome and we leave on site 1 crib, 1 high chair and some toys and books on site.

Guests have full and private access to the cottage, including the 3 bedrooms, the fully equipped kitchen, the living room with fireplace and billiards table, as well as the bathroom. Guests can enjoy the large terrace and barbecue with lake and mountain views. The chalet is 500m from the ski slopes and from the hiking trails. The beaches of Lake Geneva are a short drive away. A code for the lockbox will be sent to you before your arrival for self access.
