- "Very nice place. Very clean and quiet." - "Clean and nice " - "We stayed in one of the tents, it was very clean, did not seem much like a tent, comfortable king sized bed, full bathroom with shower, kitchen area with microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker. Propane Fire pit outside, propane BBQ. There was nothing not to like." - "Had a good time place was very nice! We enjoyed our stay " - "Can't say enough good things about our "glamping" experience. We have been trying to think of some other things to do in the area just so we can go back. Communication about check-in was so easy. Everything was super clean and the air conditioning had been turned on in advance of our arrival. We had cabin 69, which was perfect. Loved sitting by the propane fire pit at night and enjoying the night sky. The best cabin locations are on the large pond, 70-65. Lots of fun amenities, such as fishing, games and seqways are offered, but best of all is just kicking back and relaxing. "

The view of the mountain during the day is incredible and the stars at night at breathtaking. We loved it here. " - "We loved staying in the tiny home. Everyone was friendly and the home had everything we needed. I really enjoyed the outdoor gas fireplace." - "We stayed at one of those tiny homes. It was cute and comfortable for six of us. The only thing is the heater. it got really hot where the queen bed was, but all the other area stayed pretty cold. So some of us were sweating at night but some of us were freezing. Other than that we didn’t have any problems. Had beautiful view of mountains, got to see some deer on the site as well. Overall we very much enjoyed the stay!"

The Yurt of the Dunes offers a different experience and is only about 4 miles by vehicle from The Great Sand Dunes National Park. It is about 2 miles from Zapata Falls entrance. The yurt is surrounded by mountains and the valley sits below. The sky is mesmerizing, it is a certified dark sky area. There are many amenities. Enjoy The Great Sand Dunes, Zapata Falls, hiking trails, mountains and wide open spaces.
The space
Yurt (16'5") in a wooded mountain environment with amenities to keep you comfortable. Private site in a beautiful setting. Organic freshly ground coffee provided as well as organic sugar and organic whole milk for a nice cup of coffee in the morning (hot chocolate, mocha, and tea provided as well). Tea kettle and Malita (French press as well). Also, there is pancake mix/syrup/butter and organic oatmeal as well as olive oil/balsamic vinegar dispersers in case you want to bring a salad. Some condiments provided (ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, dill relish, hot sauces). Several spices provided. Induction stove top. Weber shell shaped barbecue grill with an adjacent table. Heated mattress pads. The yurt has an 18,000 BTU Big Buddy Portable Indoor Propane Heater (revered by campers, hunters and outdoor enthusiast to keep their tents and cabins warm in the winter). Propane fire pit with 20lbs of propane provided per stay. Great walking/hiking/running area. A very nice site with beautiful trees. Wi-Fi with the ability to stream video. Power cords for all of your devices and several USB charging ports. Several gallons of water is provided from a pristine mountain aquifer from our well which it put through reverse osmosis. One high quality queen mattress (regular) and one high quality full sized mattress (air) with built in pump to easily adjust firmness. The full size mattress will be set up for parties of 3/4 or upon request (please note, the 3/4 person set up looks different as the full size mattress goes on the left side of the queen mattress). Comfortable bedding. Small refrigerator/freezer. Hammock. Flowers in the warmer months. If you need more cooling space, please request that we leave a medium sized cooler at the site. We are unable to provide ice. There is a 30 foot dog lead if you would like to use it. Nighttime small bulb lighting that brightens up the site. Sponge bath supplies provided. My cell service works well (T-Mobile and AT&T) most of the time. Occasionally, a call drops. There is a camper on the property that may have guests during your stay. The camper is about 150 feet from the yurt. The yurt and the camper are not only separated by distance but also by trees and other vegetation. The yurt is nestled in its own private wooded area. The large parking area is used by occupants of the yurt and by occupants of the camper. Sometimes a car or ATV passes by on a dirt road near the site. From time to time UPS delivers items to our house and drives down our long driveway and past the site. Our little old dog sometimes barks but is not a nuisance barker. He spends most of his time indoors. The site is beautiful and peaceful. Located in a safe sparsely populated mountain forest community.
The bathroom tent utilizes a flush-able portable toilet as the weather permits. During this time there will also be a hand washing foot pump sink with a soap dispenser. (This is the current setup effective 4/14/25) The bathroom tent is not heated. During the colder months, the bathroom tent utilizes an environmentally friendly biodegradable bag system. Use the bathroom, tie the bag off, and dispose of the bag in the adjacent garbage can. If you do not want to change the bag every time, there is the option to utilize cat litter and change the bag per your preference.
Other things to note
Very close to Zapata Falls (about 2 miles). The site borders a green belt (an area that is left to be undeveloped). Another side of the property borders BLM land. The Great Sand Dunes became certified as a International Dark Sky Park by the International Dark Sky Association, meeting strict standards for sky darkness. The site is located in a remote area close to the dunes and the closest small grocery store is in Blanca which is about 18 miles away. Alamosa, which has a City Market and a Safeway, is about 30 miles away. G maps shows that the yurt is about 4 miles by vehicle from The Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve.
Smoking is only allowed outdoors (by the fire pit ect.). Please let me know if you plan on smoking so I can leave a professional grade cigarette disposal unit at the site.
- "That never happened. It was amazingly peaceful and private and very accommodating. The owners are nice and helpful. It’s nice to have a good place to relax." - "This yurt was well appointed. We appreciated having two picnic tables. We used one for cooking with our own stove, and one for eating. Four nice chairs made it easy to be comfortable. It was really nice to have a clean camping toilet to ourselves. Close proximity to the Sand Dunes was why we chose this location. it was very convenient. So nice to turn on a heater for a bit on a chilly morning."

Welcome to our farm glampsite! This tent space reflects a fun part of our story here and who we are as people. We hope you enjoy the experience!
When sending a booking request, please include a few details about your trip. This greatly helps us reduce spam requests and to know that you as our guest will care about the place where you stay! This is a farm property and a small working homestead. We are glad to host you and trust that you will enjoy it respectfully!
Tip for guest bookings: Some guests get a little lost on their way to the tent. If you check the Welcome Guide after booking, you should find very helpful information there!
You will love your getaway on a private farm in your own space! This is not your average hotel stay. Welcome to a little adventure, complemented by thoughtful amenities to make you feel more at home.
This is a well-equipped Safari-style canvas tent on a well-maintained small rural family farm homestead.
The property is 15 acres with trees and pastures raising traditional animals and gardens. You will see and hear cows, sheep, chickens, ducks, cats, and pigs! All the great surroundings of a traditional farm while being near local attractions, dining, and shopping.
Conveniently located near Loveland, Johnstown, Berthoud, Fort Collins, and Greeley. Less than 15 minutes from The Ranch events center (and Blue Arena) which hosts the Larimer County Fair, concerts, sporting events, and more. Also near sports tournament sites such as Loveland Sports Park, NOCO Sports Center, Power 2 Play, and Fort Collins Soccer Complex.
The tent is on a raised deck in a meaningful setting with beautiful views. Whether you are early to rise with the sun or you enjoy wonderful sunsets and sipping tea into the night skies, make sure to bring your camera with you! Enjoy having a private clean outhouse, patio seating, picnic area with grill, and fire pit in peaceful surroundings. (NOTE: Some older pictures show a pond which is no longer in service, but during late Spring through Summer there is a small irrigation creek that runs about 20 yards from the tent and provides very nice atmosphere.)
PLEASE NOTE that free range chickens and farm cats are usually around, so if you have allergies you may consider other options, and if you plan to prepare food outdoors then you will want to pay attention so that you're not sharing with them on accident!
Owner/resident lives onsite as well in a home close to the tent area. Tent area has a privacy fence and separate access. Most guests have commented that it feels private and secluded.
Regenerative agriculture is our goal. You will see all the residents of the farm (people and animals alike) working towards this goal.
Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park are about 45 minutes away, and many local shopping and dining options are about 10 minutes away.
There is road noise about a 1/4 mile away, primarily in daytime and some at night. If you want something truly secluded, please find other options, or feel free to ask for our recommendations! Most of our guests have said they were not bothered by the road noise, but everyone is different. Browse guest reviews for their thoughts.
We look forward to your stay with us and hope it is filled with good memories!

- "Our stay was nice. the property was a cute little glamping stay and we enjoyed it there." - "Quaint glamping experience! Lots of little extras that made the stay special" - "We experienced the coolest thunderstorm fortunately right after arriving. The tent stood up to high winds and pounding rain. No fluttering tent like normal camping. We stayed warm and dry during the storm. The bed is comfortable. The floor is cleaner than my hardwood floors. Not sure how they do it:) Our area felt secluded. We would stay here again."

- "This is our 4th summer in Vallecito. We have stayed in Blue Spruce RV Park (full hookups) and Middle Mountain campground (no hookups). Renting this space was a PERFECT option for us because we had much more room than we would have at the RV Park with the added benefit of full hookups! Having access to the gazebo and the front lawn gave us plenty of space to relax! We will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend for anyone with an RV traveling to the area."

Comfortable large tent with room for 6 shows off views of 14ers all around and night skies to brag about. Bring a skillet and some firewood for some campfire cooking and enjoy the solitude this property has to offer.
OR! Take the dirt road 17 miles to Tarryall Reservoir with your SUP, kayak, or fishing pole and enjoy the day on the water. Have an ATV or dirt bike? Miles of dirt roads to explore.
The nearest marketplace is about 15 minutes east and another 15 minutes further is Woodland Park with all the small town, tourists amenities.
Buena Vista is also about 30 minutes west from the property so a lot to discover and have some fun!
Welcome to my piece of peace, I hope you love your time there. (No, it is no longer near any fire ants, it was relocated)
- "My buddies and I really didn’t expect much when we decided to rent a yurt for a weekend fishing trip to spinney mountain reservoir. That being said, we were pretty easy going about how small the yurt actually was. We weren’t, however, easygoing about the fire ant hill that the yurt was placed on top of. Well, we tried to be, at least. But after cooking dinner and trying to fend off the fire ants from the tent, our possessions, and our selves for about an hour and a half, we decided that there was no way we could actually stay in the yurt for the night. The ants were all over, and we were being eaten alive even when not laying down on the air mattresses to sleep. Our legs were all covered in bullseye target shaped bites. These were not like normal ants, they were incredibly aggressive and their bites were painful. It wasn’t worth trying to stay, so we cut our trip short a day and drove 2 hours back to Denver in order to escape the fire ants and get some rest. If it weren’t for the ants, the yurt would have been sufficient. It was just big enough to for the 3 air mattresses, so we certainly would have stayed the night under normal circumstances. The cardboard kindling and chips & salsa were an appreciated touch as well, the fire ants just unfortunately overruled everything"

"We had a great weekend getaway at AVR. It is remote enough to feel like a true escape from the day to day. We took advantage of some of the several hikes in the area. The glamping tents were fully equipped with just about everything we needed. Don’t forget to visit Colorado’s smallest bar during your stay." Brady - Google Reviews

- "We had a great time during our visit. There are nearby lakes and trails to enjoy. There were lots of people there, so if you're looking to be away from people this place may not be a good choice. Our neighbors were super friendly, so we didn't mind it to much. The tents are a lot closer than I thought when I booked. We could here everything going on in the tent next to ours. We were woken up in the middle of the night from our neighbor snoring. The property is well kept and the staff was so friendly. We will definitely go again but we may select a different glamping tent next time."

This is for a gravel lot in a quiet residential neighborhood facing the mountains. Less than 5 mins drive from Hwy 50/ Royal Gorge Rd. Up to a 44 foot 5th wheel can make the circle drive as that's what I have. I have been working on clearing the yard to make things more convenient for fellow RVers. So, it's the reason for the discounted rate. Enjoy mountain and city views North and South. Tent and Tiny Houses welcome too!
Great for overnight guests passing through or inquire for longer stays.

Are you looking for a quiet, rural place in the beautiful Colorado mountains to set up camp and enjoy nature? Well look no further, this 2.6 acre lot is located off Gamble Gulch Road near Rollinsville and Black Hawk Colorado. Located only 30 minutes from Black Hawk, and Rollinsville is a 13 minute drive. This land sits at 9,400 ft. elevation, and there is very little light pollution at night; thus, making star gazing absolutely stunning on a clear night. Also, You can catch sunrises and sunsets like you've never seen before in the Colorado mountains. Additionally, this land has history, it was used back in the early 1800s for a gold mining operation, and the prospectors yieled a hefty haul of gold from this area before the mining shafts were collapsed due to them being unsafe for exploration.

*DIRECTIONAL INFORMATION*
It's a rough road, but Subarus, trucks, SUVs make it up fine.
->If you are coming from Black Hawk, DO NOT take Missouri Gulch Road. Your car will thank you. Go almost all the way to Rollinsville on 119 and turn left on Gamble Gulch Road.
->Go towards Nederland / Rollinsville take 119 Peak to Peak highway North.
->Turn left on Gamble Gulch Road just before Rollinsville. If you miss it, turn around in Rollinsville, come back South and Gamble will be the second right.
-> Once on Gamble:
Stay left on Gamble Gulch to avoid going up Travis Gulch Road
-> Follow Gamble Gulch all the way to the giant turn around and "end of county maintenance" signs.
-> Keep going!
-> Keep going up, up, up until you see an orange highway barrel on your left. Turn left there onto Forest Service Road FS 410.1A
-> Drive to the top, turn left at the next 2550 sign and stay left until you see the lodge. The lodge and other small buildings belongs to my neighbor, Doug, that is his property. You will see property markers that seperate his land from my land, so stay within the markers.
-> If you miss the turn off to FS410.1A, you'll see a Victorian house very near the road. Turn around there, you just passed 410.1A. It's now on your right as you go back down.
