- "We stayed on a Friday night. We self checked in as we arrived late. We were able to do this because the host communicated with us well beforehand about what to do. It was really easy. The pictures of the rooms don't do it justice. It is very nice. Our room was spacious. It had a jacuzzi tub and shower. Each room has a separate bathroom. There is a TV in each room. It is super quiet, another couple stayed there with us but we didn't know until the next morning when we met them at breakfast. The breakfast is top notch. We had crepes, cheese souffle, yogurt, bacon. It was all well worth it and we wish we could have stayed longer."

A great night’s sleep awaits at this cozy Saugatuck cabin. One of the bedrooms sits on the upper level and the other is located off the kitchen on the first floor. Both bedrooms feature comfortable queen-sized beds with brand-new Casper mattresses and tasteful nature-inspired decor. There is a comfy sofa bed in the living room to accommodate additional guests.

There is one full bathroom with a walk-in shower and plenty of counter space upstairs. There is also a half bathroom connected to the downstairs bedroom.

Our condo is on the water and is one of the best locations in our opinion. We are on the same side as Oval Beach & Mt. Baldy. You can literally walk across the street to Mt Baldy.
We have an extremely comfy king bed in the bedroom. The kitchen has a Duo Keurig coffee maker and everything you need to cook with if you choose.

We have teamed up with the Beachway resort across the street, you will have resort access with an outdoor pool and breakfast snacks. Our guests have use of all the amenities the resort offers! Parking is also included. Hotel amenities are seasonal, typically memorial to Labor Day please inquire before booking to be sure they’re open if you plan to use those perks

Our huge shared deck overlooks the water and is a great place to catch sun, enjoy coffee, cocktails, meals or just chill. The views are unmatched. Cozy fireplace if you stay with us in the cooler months.

The chain ferry operates seasonally (memorial day -Labor day) and is a fun way to get across the water to town. There are also several free and paid trolleys to town that pick you up right outside the condo.

Guests are not allowed on the lower dock/level. The lower level of the condos will be under construction mid September 2024. The long awaited repair from the historic floods will happen at this time.

The road to the beach is super close, but very uphill and narrow so we still drove. Loved the fact that after a hot day we could come back and jump in the pool across the street to cool down. Only a tiny downside: no central air, an a/c window unit. But the place is small enough that we didn’t have a problem."

Front door entry and every bedroom has key code locks. Cameras are around the exterior of the house.

Each room has a shower caddy with full size supplies, robe, iron, starch, full size ironing board and extra blankets

You are welcome to relax in your room or common areas such as living room, dining room or kitchen. Feel free to use the laundry area, yard, or sit on the porch.

The full bath offers you an amazing Whirl pool tub to sooth you at the end of your day and an invigorating shower with plenty of water pressure. Body wash is available during your stay as well.

The Den/Living room offers the warmth and ambiance of a fire place although during the summer months you'll probably want to spend more time outdoors.....a relaxing deck with gazebo and seating is located off the Theater Room.

The Theater Room is my "Happy Place" and not necessarily a "shared space". After years of serving as a Host, I have found that most people like to relax in the privacy of their own room. However, I am always open to share a movie with my guest if the occasion arises.

On the lower level (basement) you'll find a home gym area with a variety of weights, a weight bench and a treadmill. AND, this area features an Infared Sauna with optional light therapy to detox you after your workout... oh and a 40" Smart TV too.

Also located on this level is the laundry area with two large laundry tubs (for any hand washed items) and a large front loading washer and dryer - washer and dryer are available for guests staying seven days or more! Available for your convenience are plenty of hangers and laundry soap although some guests have preferred to use their own laundry soap. Iron and Ironing board are available too!

Guest access
As a guest in my home, you have access to most of the house except my private bedroom, my office and the Theatre Room. There is a glider/bench on the front porch but you'll most likely enjoy sitting on the spacious deck with gazebo/seating area or enjoy relaxing on the patio with sun umbrella option.....your choice of space to relax and unwind! Please note: I do not allow the wearing of street shoes in the house and many people bring their slippers or wear socks. (upon entry, shoes are left on a mat in the foyer) Please do not walk barefoot outside and then come in to the house with dirty feet.

Free parking on the street! If you are staying for an extended stay you are more than welcome to park in the driveway while you unload your items. However, if you prefer to park in the driveway, I will show you where to park your car so that I can drive in and out of the garage. During the winter months it will be necessary for you to park in the driveway to avoid the street snow plowing.

During your stay
I prefer to welcome you and meet you during your check-in and give you a tour of my home. After checking in, you are on your own to come and go as you please with access to the door lock with your own code. I am excited to have you as a guest but I totally respect your private time so there are no expectations from me to socialize nor are there any restrictions or curfews as to what time you come in or go. However, with that being said, communication is always welcome as a courtesy to let me know if you expect to be arriving at very late hours of the night from your work, etc.. Late hours are not an issue but it's nice to know (even with a simple text) that you might be coming in very late - after 11 pm for example.

I will do my best to ensure that your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. It is important to me that you feel safe and at home. I assure you that I am following all cleaning and sanitizing protocols and available to you are disposable paper towels, multi-surface cleaners and disinfectant wipes and sprays as well as antibacterial hand sanitizer and hand soap in each bathroom as well as in the kitchen. I am committed to providing a space to enhance your well being and after each guest, I practice a strict cleaning and sanitizing of all contact surfaces and cleaning and sanitizing is ongoing....

I am a "people person" and my intention in life is to always make a difference! I treat people with care and kindness. I am currently semi-retired and my profession as an Oncology Massage Therapist, Clinical Hypnotherapist and Certified Wellness Life Coach was an extremely fulfilling part of my life. I currently work at providing a transportation service for folks to and from the DTW airport and I am also a Co-Host for my son's Airbnb, 4 bedroom home located within walking distance to downtown Plymouth.

I am a huge movie buff! Some of my other interests and hobbies are reading, coloring for relaxation, gardening, puzzles, and decorating. I am most passionate about cooking and baking as well.

Family and friends are most important to me and I always look forward to making new friends through my Airbnb adventure. I look forward to meeting you!

Your Host, (that would be me, Barbara Jean) is a Detroit Native and I know Detroit like the back of my hand so to speak. I love Detroit and the Greater Metro area and I can recommend a variety of places to enjoy and see.....restaurants, sports, tours, museums, concert venues, night life, historic areas and churches, shopping, etc.....what do you want to experience?

I love the adventure of travel too and I've seen many wonderful places not only in the United States but I have traveled to Europe several times as well and to many beautiful tropical islands. I have enjoyed many cities and villages in Italy, England, Austria, Greece, Egypt, Israel, and Russia.

Midland Twin +optional floor mattress in Vintage Country Cottage Room with Twin Bed, glider rocker, ottoman and vanity in our Woodsy Midland Lodge with Stone Fireplace. Lovely neighborhood backed by acres of forest. Near Hospital and Northwood University. 10 minutes from Dow Chemical. 30 minutes to Mt. Pleasant. 25 to Bay City. 30 to Saginaw. A floor mattress is available for a 2nd guest for $10 additional. Bike (s) available to rent $25 stay.

The space
Twin raised panal bed, vanity, a unique space for you to relax with a semi private bath outside your room. Dresser, gliding chair and ottoman included. Shared access with full bathroom upstairs, extra lavatory downstairs. Guests are welcome to use the first floor with fireplace as well as the deck and lower patio Gazebo and backyard firepit. There is a Keurig in the kitchen and you're welcome to coffee tea, hot chocolate or oatmeal in the morning as well as bananas or apples in the copper bowl on the island. A breakfast snack and a water are complementary in your room and additional snacks and drinks are available for purchase. New: Bring down or drop your sheets/towels after your visit and leave by stairs to earn a free beverage from the guest refrigerator. Help yourself!

Guest access
Space includes access to a semi private bathroom and use of a half bath on the main floor. For an additional $10 we can add small mattress. There is a gym/exercise room nearby at the Northwood campus for you to use for a nominal $6 charge. The information is in your rooms packet as well as Wifi and restaurant info. We have 3 cruiser bikes to rent for $25 day. There are also Rental bikes along the bike path behind the senior center @ Saginaw and Dublin's East side (across from Midland Brewing Co. City Forest offers Cross Country Skiing, Snowshoeing, Sledding and Twin Toboggan Runs as well as equipment rental including mountain bikes as well for the warmer seasons. Guest may also enjoy touring Dow Gardens which is 10 minutes away.

Our home is located south of Saginaw Avenue near Dublin Avenue. To the west is Mid Michigan hospital & Northwood U campus . 10 minutes from Dow and Mainstreet activities in 12 minutes from the tennis center. Bike rentals are available from us or on Dublin Street where you can ride the bike trail downtown or all the way to Clare. There is a fresh farmers market downtown starting in May every Saturday morning 8-1 and Wednesday at four during the summer months. An Amish Cheese house opened east of Clare how about 30 minutes up 10.

The space
This house is located on a half acre of land backing up to a wooded area with mature trees. When you walk into the house from the back door you will be entering the laundry room which you are welcome to use. As you pass through the laundry room you will enter the first hallway. Turn left and you will see your shared bathroom straight ahead. Turn right to find your room. Once you pass the kitchen you will see the living room straight ahead and the game room to the right with the pool table. Your room is next to the spiral staircase on the 1st floor.
